I remember in 2005 NYG TE Shockey was Split out wide and just straight line outran the Black DB. The commemtators said Shockey was just a superior athlete. Around the same time for JAX every game they mentioned that Matt Jones ran a 4.3 at six foot six height.
I had high hopes for these superior athletes.

Turns out, it was less heralded guys like Edelman and Gronkowski that did the most damage to the caste System. Funny how that happens, life never goes according to plan... well my life at least ;)

Shockey and Gronk were a lot of fun to watch! For me, it has to be Peyton Hills’s big season with the Browns.

Peytons 2010 season was amazing. He was simply spectacular, he gave the Browns an it factor. Suddenly the browns were cool. What was crazy was how Hillis looked not like the usual FB type, he wasnt chubby and slow. He looked like a musclebound gymrat that could either outrun or truck the entire defense.

What a year! It was such a pleasure to tune in on the browns games , even from germany. I still sometimes put on a 2010 browns game when im Lifting weights at home. Or a 2017- 2018 patriots game, maybe a 2003 Buccaneers game, to watch Alstott truck and Jurevicios Catch. Watching sports entertains while Lifting.

1979 Cotton Bowl. Joe Montana overcame hypothermia to lead a Notre Dame second half comeback over Houston. The Fighting Irish were down 22 points and Notre Dame won 35-34. What I remember most about it was what I didn't see. When Notre Dame got down 22 points my stepfather turned the channel during the comeback and turned it back just in time to see the final score 35-34 and commentary.

Super Bowl 17, I think. John Riggins famous 43 yard TD run. Riggins ran for 610 playoff yards on 136 carries in 4 games. More than he had run in the entire strike shortened season.
I wasn't a Redskin fan, but I was pulling for them to beat Miami, and my brother was a Redskin fan.

Toby Gerhart's senior season (2009) at Stanford.
I was able to watch all his games on TV, and he just tore up the conference.
It was an incredible season. Unfortunately, he was robbed of the Heisman trophy.

I had forgotten that. Every week he would crush the opposing defense, what a season
...

2010. Badgers and Packers were a great watch.

Toby and Peyton Hillis. Giving us some hope at RB

For me it's close. It's between Cooper Kupp just missing the greatest season ever by any wide receiver a couple of years ago. He came so close that it still hurts. Still the 2nd most yards receiving in NFL History in a season for the Rams.

Number One is obvious. Chrisitan McCaffrey with 2 of them. He ran for over 1000 yards while also receiving 1000 yards. Only 3 players have ever done that in NFL HIstory. Even better was 2 years ago when he led the NFL in rushing and didn't even play the last game to rest for the playoffs. He was just so dominant that no other running back could even come close. It has been like half a century since we had seen this happen.

In college there are so many moments. Will save it for another post.

The Patriots behind Atlanta by umpteen in the Super Bowl. I couldn't take it any more and went for a ride in the country, only to return and learn Brady and his lunchpailers had somehow come back to win it.

Brady sitting on the bench head down not able to watch as Seattle went for the kill from the two yard line in their Superbowl match-up and the team erupting when Mcourtney made his interception and Brady's head jerking up to see what happened.

The camera catching Mike Lucchi yelling kill that clocktrucker on live TV.

I thought that the second half of the Patriots-Falcons Superbowl game was highly enjoyable as well as the AFC championship game where the white skill players led the Patriots to a win over the Chiefs in overtime; however, my favorite is the winning drive where the Rams beat the Bengals in SB 56: Stafford and Kupp had a special connection on that drive, even Collinsworth kept saying that Stafford had to look only for Kupp. The 4th and 1 sweep by Kupp for 6 yards and the TD catch by Kupp were special moments.

McCaffrey, as soon as he entered the league. That was the “finally, it’s happening” moment for white RBs in recent history.

Same with Kupp and his triple crown year. Not as impactful though, because there was at least somewhat recent pro bowl level WRs in the league, unlike the RB position, where the best we had was Hillis for 1 year, and then what, Woodhesd serving a 3rd down roll?

One thing that always got me excited was when Rex Burkhead was running the ball. He was such an underrated player. Had he stayed healthy (and been given more rushes) he had all the ability in the world for a couple of 1000 yard seasons. Heck the only two games he got 20+ attempts he rushed for over 120 and 140 yards, respectively.

Doug Flutie back in 97 is what got me back into my interest in football.

Brad Hoover's 100 yard performance against Green Bay in 2000 was really my first step into moving away from being a normie football fan to seeking out and supporting White athletes. Interestingly enough I went to Brad Hoover's ESPN page to double check my memory and his performance against the Packers is not listed in his 2000 game log.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/2456/type/nfl/year/2000

Brian Russell with 9 INTs in 2003 tied for the NFL lead that season.

Drew Bennett's tear through the league in 2004.

Brian Leonard 2005/2006 at Rutgers - his athletic ability and brilliance on display in 2004/2005 putting Rutgers in a position of respectability in college football only to have to play second fiddle to Ray Rice in 2006.

Mike Hass and his brilliant 2004/2005 seasons at Oregon State and subsequent screw job in the NFL.

A lot of my core memories are of White excellence, when I started following football again I quickly started seeking out, rooting for White athletes and questioning the dearth of White skill position players. The timeline of memories I provided really had a huge role in how I follow the game and realize that their was an obvious double standard in how White players were portrayed which lines up with me finding and joining this site.
