Finally some good news coming out of the state of Missouri. After that absurd Mizzou racial witch-hunt I'm glad the good White folks of the state have a bone thrown their way.

Hopefully Wes can re-establish himself as top flight receiver.

Great news for Wes, indeed, especially considering the Rams only have the odious thug, Kenny Britt, the inconsistent Tavon Austin, the terrible Brian Quick, and special teams gunner, Marquez on the roster. I’d love nothing more than to see Welker return to form and help a struggling Nick Foles release the ball quicker and establish an intermediate passing game.

It’s been nearly 16 months since Welker’s last concussion. Austin Collie’s last concussion occurred in 2012 and had no issues in 2013 with the Patriots and played an entire 2015 CFL season.

Welker’s deal is 1-year, $1.8 million plus incentives.

You'd think a WR needy team would sign Austin Collie. The Rams for example.

Collie's a proven player in the NFL.

But no, they'd rather lose games and lose their jobs than have white receivers on the team.

Rams are reporting that Wes was very impressive in workouts yesterday. Damn, shows you how much Wes worked out in the gym and catching and running routes while he waited for a team to sign him. His confidence and belief in himself is off the charts.

Today Welker plays his first game for the Rams. Welker immediately becomes the Rams best receiver, even at his age.

My guess is the Rams will plan to work him in slowly but will end up playing him a lot because their receivers are so bad.

Look for a Foles - Welker connection to develop this year.

This past weekend, Wes hit 900 career receptions...

Too bad he's still about 90 yards shy of 10,000 career yards and unlikely to hit that mark in the Rams' putrid offense with one game remaining. Of course, I'm sure he'll struggle to get signed by any team next season. This Sunday could easily be the final game of his career. Oh well, all the best to this all time great in his future endeavors as a father (his wife recently gave birth to twins).

Wes Welker helped revolutionize the WR position. He helped turned the slot receiver into a major part of offenses.

In his career he had over 900 catches, 9,000 yards and 50 TDs in the regular season. He had 88 catches, 866 yards and 5 TDS in the post-season. He had 5 seasons with over 110 catches. (I don't think anyone else has ever done that.)

Wes Welker belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Yes he most certainly does belong in Canton. And if he hadn't been forced by Miami to serve a racial apprenticeship in the beginning of his career, followed by practically being forced to retire at the end of it because of concussions, he would rank among the all-time leaders in receptions.

Don't forget that Wes also had nearly 7,000 yards in punt and kickoff returns.

I forgot to mention that. He was one of the best punt returners in the league when he played.
