UFC 141 - Brock Lesnar vs. Overeem

Looks like the Nordic Warrior is scheduled to face "Untereem" for the #1 HW contender spot on 12/30/11 at UFC 141.http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/Overeem-Lesnar-Slated-for-Dec-30-in-Las-Vegas-35362I like Brock's odds. "blOwvercream" doesn't have Cain's wrestling & won't be able to defend Brock's take-down & ground control (or size & speed). I'm predicting Brock by TKO (G&P) in round 2 or decision.

Doesn't suprise me. blOvereem fought as a lanky LHW in Pride. He's no natural 265. Brock was probably saucin' in the WWE, but I believe he's clean now (not as heavy or defined as WWE days).

Roids won't help his chin when Brock is lending him some G&P.

Drunk white fanboys LOVE Overreem the Overrated. I hope they do let this punk fight so Brock can tool him up just like Chuck Liddell and several other superior white fighters did.

Untereem has been KO/TKO'd 6 times & sub'd twice. Lesnar is bigger, stronger, a better athlete & far superior wrestler than blOvereem. Alliqu33r has a (small) chance of landing a lucky punch, so Brock would be wise to take it to the mat for some hardcore G&P.

It's gonna be a good fight.

Overreem has said that he wants to send Brock back to the WWE.

I know a lot of UFC fans want Brock to do the same, but didn't Lesnar leave in the first place because he didn't like the horrendous schedule? So why the hell would he sign up with Vince McMahon again?

I'm under the impression that some UFC fans are brain-dead morons.

BTW, I'm pulling for Lesnar to win.

Randy Couture had no problem taking Overeem down in training, Unlike JDS I don't think Overeem's TDD is very good. I would expect Lesnar to take him down or get koed attempting a takedown.

And just to think, many, many DWFs will be loudly rooting for this handsome gentleman

The bookies have the "Dutchman" (yeah, right) a favorite for some reason.

http://www.bookmaker.net/live-lines/martial-arts

Well, he's a "K-1 Grand Prix Champion" :icon_rolleyes:

And was Strikeforce champion. The biggest named competition he faced at Strikeforce was Rogers and Werdum. Werdum was highly ranked because of the Fedor fight, but Overeem never ventured into his domain and was outstruck by him. http://blog.fightmetric.com/2011/06/overeem-vs-werdum-ii-official.html

Jacob Volkmann completely dominating Efrain Escodero.

Jacob could be the best wrestler/grappler at 155 (tough some might say Gray Maynard is better)

Volkmann gets the UD.

And then calls out Frankie Edgar (and Barack Obama).

Might have to settle for someone like Clay Guida or the winner of Jim Miller-Melvin Guillard.

Good to see Danny Castillo beat Great Black Hype Anthony Njokuani.

Njokuani is 2-4 in his last 6 with the two wins coming against tomato cans (Edward Faalato and Andre Winner).

This will not stop the DWFs and black racists at Sherdog from hyping this talentless clown. But good to see this afflete get handled yet again (this time by a journeyman who took the fight on 3 weeks notice).

I wanna see how Ross Pearson does at 145. He was very good at 155 and beat Edison Barboza (but got screwed by the judges as all white fighters do in close fights).

In general drops in weight divisions do not go well as the fighter is too drained. But European fighters have the reputation for not cutting much weight in the first place so we shall see.

Junior Assuncao (white Brazilian with blue eyes) will be a good test for Ross.

Not good so far for Ross. Looking slow, tired and sluggish like most fighters who drop from their natural weight classes.
