I would think Mullens should be considered more than just a camp arm. The hilarity of the sign/release of Jamie Newman makes me think that the Eagles actually want some stability and depth at the position. Is Mullens a franchise QB? No I do not believe so. Is he capable of being a spot starter who provides quality depth? I do believe this to be the case. Considering they have Hurts who will prove to be overmatched this year as their currently penciled in starting QB Mullens should be viewed as a quality signing at this point in the off season. Eagles signed QB Nick Mullens, formerly of the 49ers. The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane said the team may have signed Mullens -- who started eight games for the Niners in 2020 -- as a camp arm. Mullens has been erratic in 16 NFL starts, throwing 25 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. The Eagles seem committed to Joe Flacco as a backup for Jalen Hurts this year, making it unlikely Mullens will be active on game days if he makes the team.
Good news for Mullens. Definitely think he has potential to beat out Flacco at this point in his career. He should be 2nd QB, probably make a few spot starts again as well.
Landon Dickerson has set the newest fashion trend in the NFL. He is from Hickory, N.C which is also the hometown of Madison Bumgardner the DiamondBack pitcher. https://twitter.com/hashtag/FlyEaglesFly?src=hashtag_click
Eagles trade for Gardner Minshew. He’s better than Hurts already. Flacco is better than Hurts as well.
Wow! Great trade for the Eagles! Minshew is a legitimate starter. They picked him up for a conditional pick, either a 6th or 5th. Even if it's a 5th it's a steal. The Eagles took advantage of the fact that white quarterbacks are underrated by the MSM because of their racial prejudice. thereby reducing their value. So now this idiot Urban Meyer has gotten rid of two quality white players, Minshew and Joe Schobert, for peanuts.
Self-defeating idiots like Urban Meyer can do the other teams as many favors like this as he indirectly wants. His team will tank and I'll rejoice. I look forward to Minshew getting the start sometime this season one way or another. He's out from under the Meyer clod (yes, "clod" not cloud) and it's all the better.
The spin is that Minshew provides "great depth" as the number 3 QB. Flacco played well this preseason/Hurts barely played. It's an odd situation as Hurts seems to have been gifted the starting job.
ah of course. Not really that odd considering 90 percent of QB battles in NFL and College have gone to Quotabacks.
Looking in my inbox just now I see the following two headlines. This is just a very tiny microcosm of the daily media blitz in favor of Black QBs and Black athletes in general. It's no surprise that the vast majority of DWFs have been successfully trained to follow the cues of the fake news media: Jamey Eisenberg's Breakouts 3.0 lean on young talent like Jerry Jeudy, Jalen Hurts Eight bold predictions, including Aaron Jones as RB1 and Jalen Hurts as a top-five QB - CBS Sports
Who is Jamey Eisenberg? What are his qualifications, if any? Has he ever played football? These guys appear from nowhere and are all of a sudden presented as experts.
Last year's stats. Gardner Minshew 66.1 comp. % 16 TDs 5 INT rating 95.9 Jalen Hurts 52.0 comp. % 6 TDs 4 INT rating 77.6 Minshew is a much better quarterback than Hurts. The MSM would have us believe that Hurts deserves to be the starter over Minshew. There's no other reason for this other than Hurts is black and Minshew is white and they want black quarterbacks playing over white quarterbacks even if the white quarterbacks are much better . They're black supremacists and anti-white racists.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nf...hurts-marcus-hayes/ar-AAPEpZ9?ocid=uxbndlbing They should bench Hurts, but will they?
Alex Singleton's snap counts have dropped for three straight games, from 84% in Week 4, his high water mark for the season, to 75%, 63%, and just 56% in Week 7. Despite the limited snaps Singleton puts up great tackling numbers every single game. In Week 5 he had 14 combined tackles, 15 in Week 6, and 9 in Week 7. His lowest output was 8 tackles in Week 1. I'd be very surprised if he isn't easily the best linebacker in the league as far as tackles made per snaps played.
https://nfltraderumors.co/eagles-qb...ade-interest-but-jalen-hurts-remains-starter/ I find the logic here pretty funny. Minshew is viewed as a potential bridge starter...what the hell is Hurts viewed as? Minshew doesn't have a rocket arm but he has the requisite arm strength. He was Jacksonville's starting QB last season when healthy - the team stunk last year and again stinks this year. I do hope the Eagles let Minshew go - there are several teams he can start for with QB needs.
Minshew is constantly disrespected. 39TDs to 11INTs when he's been allowed to play. Just not as "exciting and black" as some of the "new wave" of QBs.
No doubt.. Anti White media was trying to do same thing to Heinicke. Cut him down before he even had a chance to show his stuff. Now most of media admits the kid can play!
Eagles doubling down on stupid - stating that Hurts is their starting QB. The NFC East should be more competitive next year so I look forward to the Eagles being a bottom feeder as long as Howie keeps hurts under center
Black QBs have it so easy now. They outright just hand them the jobs, Whitey has to earn it..Meanwhile fat slob "swaggoo" Marcus Spears was just tearing down Trubisky saying he'd rather have Crab Legs Winston. Some more of that Black Nepotism.
Eagles signed WR/Olympic hurdler Devon Allen. Allen played football at Oregon and had a very good freshman year in 2014.
