Next weekend will be interesting down in Australia. We will have the first races of the year for both Rohan Browning and Jack Hale. They will take on all
the other young guns. This year could be almost a make or break year for Hale. He has fallen off the map a little back into average times. He is still the 2nd
best Aussie Sprinter at the moment by alot but Hale needs to get his confidence back. I hope they are getting him the proper coaching. Sometimes I feel like
he would be better off to join Brownings Camp. Rohan Browning has an excellent coach and that may be the main problem with Hale. Either way I really hope
he can regain his form of several years ago as it would make the Australian Track Meets even more exciting to watch along with boosting their relay team.

Browning trains 900 kms north of where Hale is residing unfortunately. And even where he trains now in Victoria, Hale is away from his home in Tasmania (it's a plane trip across the water). I'm pretty sure he doesn't get anything but basic funding (a very small amount) so he just couldn't support himself living in Sydney. He'd need $250 a week just to find a basic room ..... and that's before eating, training and travelling etc.

I have a new name to keep a close eye on in the near future. Hungarian Sprinter Dominik Illovszky! He just turned 20 last month and he has already run a 6.65 indoors. His outdoor p.b. in the 100 is a modest 10.36 but that won't last for long as this kid is really improving
by leaps & bounds! Hungary has a good one in this kid in my opinion. Let's see how he progresses both indoors and outdoors. I think Dominik
will drop easily into the 10.20's this year which would be a great base to build on going forward.

Hungary has had 2 decent world class sprinters in the last 35 years. It'd be nice to see another. to follow the these men.

Attila Kovacs: 100 m: 10.09 (+0.3) in Miskolc (1987)
200 m: 20.11 (+0.7) in Miskolc (1987)

He is an 11-time Hungarian 100 metre champion, and a 4-time 200 metre champion. He also won the 60 metre Indoor title 3 times.

In 1984, he finished 2nd in 100 metres in the Friendship Games in Moscow behind Osvaldo Lara of Cuba.

In 1985 he was European cup B 100 Metre winner.

In 1986 he represented Hungary in the 100 metres in Stuttgart in the European Championships where he reached the final and finished 7th.

In 1987 he was 4th in the World Championships in the 100 metres, originally 5th but advanced one place after the disqualification of Ben Johnson of Canada.

Roland Nemeth: 10.08 NR(1.0) and 10.10 (1.0) in 1999 and 2000 and 6.57/60m (60m)

I remember Roland Nemeth. I never saw Kovacs but what a legend he was. Yes they both were amazing sprinters. Kovacs probably a little better as he
was world class over 2 distances! I'm excited for this young rising Hungarian Sprinter Dominik Illovszky.

Devin Quinn ran a 6.65 today in Lieven for 3rd place. He was running in the mid 6.50's last year indoors. Hope he can step it up with about a month to go in the season.
Quinn is already 25 so he is entering his prime years of sprinting. Hoping he can break his wind legal 10.01 from a few years ago. It's amazing how many of our guys run
10.00 or 10.01 and never go faster. Hope that doesn't happen to Quinn. We need a white american to run a wind legal sub 10 soon. Will it be Boling or Quinn to be the first?

Yes I agree it would be awesome to see another whitey go sun 10, personally I think it will be Boiling and Browning. Quinn will favourable conditions could possibly do it as well. Fingers crossed for all 3

German Deniz Almas ran a 6.66 today at home. He has a p.b. of 6.60 in the 60 but his speed endurance is what I like. Almas has
wind legal personal best times of 10.08 and 20.64. He mainly runs the shorter sprints but he yet another german sprinter young
enough to have a chance at a sub 10. They have at least 3 or 4 german sprinters with the potential and they are all young enough to
still progress. Hoping for a hot summer on the track in Germany with scorching times!

Happy Quinn is back, and he is not putting an over emphasis on the indoor season. This will be his year. Him and Boling and Browning will all join the sub 10.00 club.

That is amazing. She reminds me alot of the female version of Richard Kilty. She has incredible burst out of the blocks as good or better than any female sprinter
in the world. Swobodas problem is maintaining that speed over 100 meters. He p.b. in the 100 is 11.07 which is very good. I just want her to join the sub 11 club. She
ran that 11.07 back in 2019 so hopefully this will be the year for her to break through. At 24 years of age, Ewa still has plenty of time to improve!

Not sure what happened to Jan Volko. The guy ran a 6.86 and seems to be going slower every year. He is only in his mid 20's so I'm guessing he is getting bad coaching and
training or maybe he lost the desire. He won the indoor champs gold several years ago. He as running low 6.50's all day long and has a p.b. in the 100 of 10.15 I believe. Sad
to see him just fizzle out like this. Very strange as we had high hopes for him several years ago.

Two Young Polish Sprinters to keep an eye on. They are both 20 years of age. Watch out for these guys in the next decade.

Patryk Krupa and Jakub Pietrusa. They both are alred in the low 6.70s indoors. Also watch for 22 year old Polish Sprinter Lukasz Zok.

Abby Steiner is doing what Boling should be doing. Even though her best event in the 200 she wants to get better over the 100. How do you achieve that? You have
to run more 60's and 100 meters races both indoors and outdoors. Today Abby Steiner ran another new p.b. in the finals of the 2022 Tiger Paw Invitational.

Abby Steiner won the final heat today running a lightning fast time of 7.12! Wow is that going to help her outdoors this year. She has now shattered all her previous
p.b.'s over the 60 meters and she might go even faster with a month left in the season. So happy for her. Hoping Boling gets the hint and starts doing the same thing.

Boling was supposed to run today in the 60 but did not show up. I hope he isn't hurt. Christian Coleman was also a no show in the 60 at this same event.

Matthew Boling is entered in the 200 meters tommorow and we could be in for something special. In his same heat are Christian Coleman, Micaiah Harris,
and Javonte Harding. This heat should be very close and the times could be the fastest times of the year! Good luck to Boling. Wish he could of ran today!

Mary Beth (Sant) Price is also killing it this season.
7.06 in the heats (fastest), and then 7.04 in the finals to win! (Tyson Invitational in Arkansas)
Took down some Jamaicans in the process.
She's for real!

Swoboda's previous PB (before this season) in the 60 was 7.08 in 2019. Her body looks harder, more muscular. I see a sub 11.00 easy for her this year.

MBSP is amazing. She is so tiny, yet has such big power. I'll bet she is one of the most powerful athletes ever. I wonder what her vertical jump is. I think someone here posted vids of her here squatting over 300 lbs.
