Since 2005, Iowa has started 11, 13, 15, 15, 13, 12, 11, 12, 16, 13, 14, 14, 16, 15, 9, 14, 14, 17, 12, 12 and 12 white athletes. The Hawkeyes start remain at 12 White starters in 2026.

QB still remains a question mark. Hopefully Hecklinski or Brown are able to bring back the passing game. Iowa is the team to watch and root for in the Big Ten.

Second team OL is a Snow Plow.
Defensive players on the 2 deep depth chart:

DT Luke Gaffney, DE Drew Campbell, LB Preston Ries, LB Derek Weisskopf, LB Nolan Delong, DB Ty Hudkins

Offense
QB Jeremy Hecklinski or Hank Brown
WR Reece Vander Zee
TE DJ Vonnahme or TE Addison Ostrenga
LT Trevor Lauck
LG Leighton Jones
C Cael Winter
RG Kade Pieper
RT Jack Dotzler

Defense
DT Will Hubert
LB Cam Buffinton
LB Landyn Van Kekerix
FS Zach Lutmer

i’ll be surprised if Lutmer lines up at safety … he might line up occasionally at “slot corner” (what Iowa calls the cash), but Iowa doesn’t have two outside corners better than him. of course, the Caste System has moved many a White corner to safety …

is Ty Hudkins the next White cornerback found by the Hawkeyes? he certainly has some tools …

i’m very frustrated that Brevin Doll doesn’t appear to be in the hunt for reps at tailback. what’s he got to do? he’s got ideal size, is by far the fastest player in their running back room, and has phenomenal production at the high school level, yet he’s never mentioned as a potential contributor.

Cam Buffington looks to Iowa’s next great LB.

6’3 240.

Ran for nearly 5k yards while in HS in Iowa!

Did not see Doll listed on the official 2 deep released yesterday unfortunately. Lutmer had to move to safety due to an injury, it does sounds like both Hudkins and Lutmer could be on the field together with Lutmer moving over to his more natural position of cornerback.

Only gripe with Iowa is recruiting and starting another Epenesa (brother has been a huge bust in the NFL and was more a media creation at Iowa, my guess was to highlight the poly player on a very White program) and their bringing in a mexican black WR Tony Diaz.
