2026 Track Results

Kalen Walker is also running tomorrow in the Ed Murphey Classic. He has SB of 10.12. Hopefully, he is healthy and can hit a good one.

Just reminding the track guys that Sam Blaskowski races tommorow in the Diamond League over the 100 meters. He has raced way too
much but it's probably because you have to strike when the iron is hot. The kid is chasing endorsements and trying to show that he belongs
on the biggest stage. It's a gamble but I understand why he is doing it.

If he is not totally exhausted due to over racing I will predict he gets his second sub 10 tommorow. I'm gonna predict at time of 9.95

Finally the men and women of Russia will be allowed to participate in an Olympics again starting in 2028! I plan to be in L.A. if all goes well.

She has been having a very good year. I read that she is changing her nationality from Sweden to Finland. Will that affect whether she can compete in the European Championships?
Lindahl has dual nationality, Swedish and Finnish, she was born in Luxemburg and her father Markus is Finnish and mother Swedish and she chose to swap to represent Finland on international level. She will be eligible to represent Finland on international level from 31.12.2027 onwards.

Her father Markus Lindahl was a sprinter with PB’s of 10.55 and 21.12.

Nora focused on the 200m before and she improved her 100m record from 11.50 to 11.15 this season, a very talented girl, if she stays healthy and gets her block start better she has potential to go even faster.

High School sensation Natalie Dumas is also competing in this track meet (Ed Murphy) in the Women's 800m if she holds her nerve she will do well.

Sam managed a 10.06 for 7th. Kind of a pedestrian time for him at this point. I think he may have already peaked for this season.

Yeah it's just like with Boling. Too many races just about always equals crash & burn out. To be fair though a 10.06 with 0 wind in
his first Diamond League Race in Europe isn't the end of the world. Still better than Kennedy who ran 10.09 twice in the D.L.

Sam Blaskowski should take it as a learning & growing experience. To be honest I would have preferred that he get into a race in
Poland. They have one this Saturday and Sunday which is a huge meet. He should have tested the waters there first. No matter
what happens the rest of the summer he ran a sub 10 and a sub 20 wind legal. No one can take that away from him.

M. Tentoglou jumped a 8.61 with 0 wind for a new world lead. It was only slightly off his p.b. of 8.65! He is in the best form or his life. Today
he just dominated everyone as usual. He had two 8.49 jumps, 8.52 jump and an 8.61 in his 6 attempts. The 8.52 was into a -0.9 wind!
If he would have got some postitive wind today who knows what he could have done.

I've said it for the last 5 years or longer. He is capable of breaking the world record on the right day. Hoping he does. So fun to watch!

He has said in the Greek media repeatedly that this year or next he’s jumping 8.80 and that he has jumped over 8.80 in training a few times this year. We shall see ;)

Boling ran a 45.51 to be the 2nd highest qualifier at the Murphey meet today. Hoping Kalen can catch a flyer in the 100.

If he could jump that in competition we could have a world record watch for the oldest male record on the books. Really nobody has been close since Pedroso had an annulled world record due to a faulty wind gauge and even that attempt was in the mid 90's.

Even the European world record hasn't been approached since Robert Emmiyan jumped 8.86 (when Beamon still had the world record).

Respectfully, I dont agree that we can say Sam Blaskowski is over-racing. His situation is nothing like Boling's where Matt was running 46 races a year, and half were 400m (open and relays). By contrast, Sam has just 15 total races and all are at 100m, except just two 200s. That is not a heavy load for a 23yr old who is training as a professional. Regardless of whether or not they may be on performance enhancers, that is not a heavy workload for most of the top-rated 100m sprinters over the past 20 years. His teammate Kenny Bednarek typically runs 20 some odd races a year, and half of his are 200s. I could go on all day listing top athletes that run 20+ races a year.

Anyway, my point isnt to be disagreeable, but rather to say that Sam quite possibly has lots left in the tank for this year and we should all be focusing positively on his races and results to come. It doesnt appear that he has signed up for the US Outdoors yet, but hopefully he does soon as that will likely be a super fast meet. Also, regardless of what you might think of his past, his coach is top-notch, and so are his training partners. If he fails it wont be because of bad coaching and decisions like what happened with Boling.

When I say too many races let me clarify. I'm talking about too many races week after week with very little rest time. In the first interview
I posted of Sam B,, even he said he has to be careful to not race too much in a short period of time. Go listen to the interview. He needs to space out the races more in my opinon. Every other week I think is ideal until you get towards the most important part of the season and
then you can step it up. Even other posters said he might have already peaked. It's possible but I think the kid needs a little more rest
between races. This same thing happened to Matt Shirvington years ago. Training too hard and not enough recovery time. Just my opinion as a life long track fanatic. I'm very proud of the kid. Sam Blaskowski is a star and he will figure it out in time. It's his first years as a pro!

Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. Hopefully, if that is going on with him in part, he can reset and still run a few more fast races this season in order to be able to hit next year with full confidence. And then also so meet officials will be ready to sign him up. Getting better meets from the start can really help an athlete's season progress to its optimum!

gotta correct you W/L. Kennedy's had 3 Diamond League results for:
  • May 16, 2026 (Shanghai/Suzhou): Clocked a time of 10.01 (0.6) to finish in 5th place.
  • May 23, 2026 (Xiamen): Finished with a time of 10.06 (0.2).
  • July 4, 2026 (Eugene - Prefontaine Classic): Finished 6th in the 100m with a time of 10.09 (0.1)
It's been an honest introduction for both these guys against the world's elite and neither has been disgraced. They've not been "destroyed" (neither are white sprinters who finish many metres behind the field) so it should just encourage them to stay focused and fine tune things slowly.
They don't need injuries at this stage
