2026 Track Results

Kennedy and Blaskoski both beaten badly in their races....Sam go a good start but faded in the stretch....Kennedy never a factor.

Sam might be a little burned out right now. Plus, they had him in lane 1.

Lachlan has been out of action for a little while. 10.09 is actually pretty good and portends some sub 10.00s before the season is out.

Ethan Katzburg wins the Hammer at the Prefontaine meeting with a DL record and WL throw of 83.33! He is the best in the world and just keeps getting better!
not to mention, a huge unit of a man

no more Diamond League entries will be offered either for a while. Let's see how both guys respond. Having said that a 10.09 in still conditions is'nt attrocious but I'd expect a tenth better. On today's run he has 3 metres to make up on that winner

Riku Illukka of Finland recently ran a new Finnish NR in the 200m, a time of 20.43.

He also has a serious chance of bettering the Finnish NR in 100m, which is 10.12. I see him more of a 100m runner, he tends to fade at the end of races but has a very good start and acceleration phase.

I don't think either one of them is ready for prime time.
A high schooler running 19.75 ?

Of the two of them Lachie is a little closer as he has gone sub 10 legal three times already. That being said they both still have a ways to go. I think that Sam is racing too much. You need to peak in July and August and not earlier in the year. Being a star in track in any of the events is all about timing your peak fitness around the big races and championships. It's a science and hard to do. Especially for guys that don't have the huge endorsement deals that sprinters like Noah Lyles and others do. There are trying to survive and it's easier to go to smaller meets and get paid some checks for winning some of them. That being said they are both the real deal. Just young at 22 & 23. They will be just
fine come 2028 at the LA Olympics.

Let's just say he most likely has those magical yams in his corner like Usain and Company do. I don't believe anyone that young could ever run that fast and track history proves that. Where there is smoke, you usually have fire.

There are alot of young talented sprinters running in Cork, Ireland tommorow.

Also in Sweden we will see the return of the Legend Henrik Larsson over the 100 & 200 meters. He hasn't raced all year in 2026 so
I wouldn't expect too much in his first races. Just happy he is finally returning to the sprints.

One last thing. Still have no idea what happened to Oliwer Wdowik? Haven't see him all summer. Guessing he got hurt at the World Relays.
Hope to see him back before the summer ends.

The European Championships is always one of my favorites to watch & it's just not as good when many stars are missing.

good to hear. Ireland has not had an avalanche of sprinters, none of top shelf ability.
We used to get excited about Paul Hessian running into high 10.20s back in the day W/L

Yes sir. Also the guy that was either deaf or blind, cant remember but a good sprinter. It was in the Para Oly Games but raced some normal level meets and had a little success. His name was Jason Smyth.

As for tommorow I was mostly talking about other young guys racing there. I will also root for the real Irish Track Athletes both men & women. Hope your doing good mate.

I'm excited for the Common Wealth Games and the European Championships!

thanks WL. Yes still going well thankfully - I'll be throwing Shot and Discus in 2 weeks time for some winter practice and familiarity - Haven't been doing much this year at all so really need a competition. Shot over 11 and discus over 31 would do for now - then I must learn some good technique ;)

Keep it up. A body in motion stays in motion. A body at rest stays at rest.
