Sam Blaskowski is not only the fastest cat in D3, he’s one of the top sprinters regardless of level in the USA. he’s been mentioned frequently in the track season threads the past couple years, but i thought it fitting that he finally had his own thread.

and, to start it off, here’s a very complimentary video profile on the prolific and prodigious sprinter:

he is probably emblematic of a lot of white athletes that couldn’t sniff d1 a programs, in that he should have been chosen higher, but didn’t. Impressive indeed

Blaskowski won the D3 200-meter championships with a time of 20.93.

Sam Blaskowski sets new Division III All Time 100 Meters Record with a time of 10.05!

:campeon:

This kid is the Polish Rocket! Amazing performance just toying with the competition like a man among little boys.

Here is my Wish!!! SAM BLASKOWSKI GO TO POLAND AFTER COLLEGE AND COMPETE FOR THE POLISH TEAM.
He can push many of the other guys including Marek Zakrzewski to greater levels and make a better 4 x 100 Relay Squad.
Blaskowski can make alot of money as a professional running for Poland. He would be the male version of Ewa Swoboda!

Blaskowski blasts off

Just saw this video a few minutes ago. Shocked. It's stunning. Never in my lifetime did I think a man of European descent would run a 9.89. It's just amazing. But it's not just the speed. It's a physical barrier that's been broken and I think, most importantly, it's a psychological breakthrough. The next generation of young White sprinters now knows it's possible. Christophe Lemaitre(9.92) wasn't just a one off.

what. a. moment! MOMENTOUS, in fact!

Blaskowski for the win, and for the haters to choke on.

Somehow, despite the decades of denigration, white men are asserting their physical dominance. While few are given the opportunity, those that are tend to perform as the best.

I predict we soon see a guy like Kalen Walker dip below 9.90 as well.

Congratulations to Blaskowski.
Good video. I have to agree that his time is quite a surprise - but a good one!
Interesting to note that Matthew Boling also ran at that meet, but didn't qualify for 100m final, as he only ran 10.49 in the heats.
I wonder how he felt watching Blaskowski win the race in that amazing time.

He ran in near perfect conditions to set this unofficial record. I would love to see what Kennedy could have done in these conditions as I still feel he is the best White 100m sprinter but Blaskowski is the Neal Armstrong of White sprinters for the 9.8 barrier...

Great news for sure! As I mentioned to White Lightning in a pm, we need Sam to not stall out like Lemaitre and Boling have. To be doing what he's doing from the D3 level is so impressive, hopefully he has a large chip on his shoulder to keep him motivated along with competent coaching.

I would not think that a well funded D3 school would be that big of an impediment for a track star.

He graduated and is running as a professional athlete now. The money this kid can make if he can run sub 10's on a consistant basis. The
meets will be fighting to get him into their races. Hope he can stay healthy. Also stay hungry and strive for more. It's all about making the
medal stands at the Olympics and World Championships to write your name in the History Books forever.

I would love to see him break Su Bingtian's Asian Record. I really want him to run in the 9.70's eventually. It's a lofty goal but it would make
Sam Blaskowski in rare company. In the history of sprinting only 12 SPRINTERS HAVE EVER RUN in the 9.70's. Only 2 men have run in the 9.60s and the world record is 9.58 by Usain Bolt. I will say that these guys have rumors of drug use.
