Since 2007, Oregon State has started 10, 10, 13, 10, 8, 5, 8, 8, 6, 5, 5, 5 6, 7, 6 and 5 white players (no write up in 2015). In 2025 the Beavers are projected to start 6.

WR Trent Walker should get next level looks. It's interesting that the Beavers latest adventure in non-White QBs is Maalik Murphy. He transfers over from Duke. Seems to be a capable enough passer but while at Texas I can recall he was touted for his dual threat ability. Interestingly enough he rushed for -79 yards last season with a long rush of 8 yards. Anyway hopefully Walker gets enough passes thrown his was to get him over 1k yards.

Oregon State has seemed to always have the "prototypical big armed QB". The old PAC 12 seemed to thrive on big armed pocket QBs, not so much anymore. The Beavers have one White QB on the roster - 3 star Kallen Gutridge. Will be interesting to see if he ever gets a shot.

Players to look out for are RB Jake Reichle, WR Karson Boschma, DL Nick Norris, DL Luke Levengood, LB Clive Pond, LB Andy Alfieri

Offense
WR Trent Walker
LT Jacob Strand
LG Tyler Voltin
RG Nathan Elu
RT Tyler Morano

Defense
LB Kai Wallin

I wonder how Trent Walker will be viewed now that Oregon State is pretty much division-less. Will he be considered a mid-major type and will it be held against him assuming he puts up huge numbers?

Trent Bray out after 0-7 start! They paid big time $$ to former Duke and WGA QB. FAIL.

Oregon State probably isn’t viewed as a very alluring job. Not enough monopoly $$ to play with, its location, not enough affletes to recruit from…

Perfect job for somebody to think outside of the box and recruit local talent from the PNW. A program builder, not looking for mercenaries year in and year out. Actually develop relationships with players, coaches , fans within 100 miles of Corvallis. They should look at what their rival at Washington State did. Bringing in a FCS coach who isn’t afraid to recruit the region! Also bringing in a 1/3rd of your roster from a FCS Championship team doesn’t hurt. LOL.

Expanded PAC-12 should offer more spark than the 2 team version of past several years.

Good riddance! Just get Trent Walker his 1k yards!
