2025 NFL Week 5

i obviously didn’t watch the game, but i am curious … how did our three White defensive backs do in that Broncos-Eagles contest? it’s nice that they started the game, but it’s (perhaps more) important that they play well.
Riley moss handled himself well, he gave up a few passes to devonta smith but still played well overall. Dejean was very good, and I find it interesting that teams seem to be throwing more at mitchell than him recently. Blankenship I didn’t really notice but as safety that’s usually a good thing. Our triumvirate all had good games with Dejean having the best, he could be in line for not just a pro bowl but an all-pro selection this year

thank you for the recap.

Matt Milano playing very well in his return from a pectoral injury. He has 6 tackles at the half.

Did anyone else catch it early on when Crissie said that Bernard had "replaced" Milano. Milano remains Buffalo's best linebacker. Wrong, Crissie.

And after a nice James Cook run, Crissie singled out Robert Spillane for missing Cook. He did add that Cook does that to many defenders. So then why mention only Spillane? The obvious intent was to make Spillane, one of the best linebackers in the league, look bad to casual fans and DWFs.

Crissie just can't help herself.

Helluva catch by Luke! I’m not gonna lie to you pretty damn good pass from Daniel‘s as well. Luke needs to start.

Sean McDermott should've been fired after the Bills lost in the 2021 divisional round. An unfortunate side effect of Hall of Fame QBs is that their greatness saves crappy coaches' careers.

Drake Maye was tremendous in this game. The Patriots should be 4-1 instead of 3-2 as they gave away the game against the Steelers a couple weeks ago. They had 6 White starters tonight plus Gibbens and Schooler both played some on defense. There's worse teams to root for and at least they're headed the right direction after the ultra-black squads of the previous few seasons.

Super WSTD/team mascot Schooler actually playing some safety tonight, first time this season and probably in his NFL career.
He had 2(!!) defensive snaps in 2023 and 50 in 2024. None this year going into today.

I remember commenting on the weekly threads last year when he had a couple sacks. Checking now, in addition to the 2 sacks, he had a pair of TFLs and 3 QB hits. Great numbers for a safety with those measly snap totals. I obviously think he could be an above average starter to borderline star if he was afforded the opportunity to start.

Sam Darnold is 27/32/332/4, Baker Mayfield is 29/33/379/2, what a duel!!
It’s a shame one of them had to lose as neither deserved to based on performance.

Baker may have slightly flashier numbers than Sam in regards to passing yards and touchdowns on the season. However Sam has him beat in QB rating (3rd in NFL) and QBR (2nd). Just fantastic starts for both.

And some further notes on one of my new favorite teams to monitor this year, the Seahawks (still weird to say). Ty Okada started in place of the talented Julian Love once more and came through with 7 total tackles (2nd on team) and 2 passes defended. From what I’ve read, he was hardly to blame for the 38 points surrender. That’s mostly on the nonexistent pass rush, the corners and the linebackers. Speaking of which, linebacker Drake Thomas seems to be usurping snaps from starter, the legendary Tyrice Knight. No numbers for week 5 yet but Thomas had more tackles than the listed starter.

I’m hoping Thomas becomes the official starter at some point. As for Okada, I think he’s proving he can be a viable starter in the league. However, Seattle does have 2 talented starters at the moment in Love and Coby Bryant.

What a loathsome, self-hating white man. They do more damage to our cause than any black. I find them most disgusting.
