2025 Virginia Cavaliers

Since 2006 Virginia has started 4, 8, 8, 8, 9, 8, 10, 9, 7, 9, 7, 6, 6, 6, 7, 4, 7, 7 and 6 white athletes. This year they regress back to 6. The Cavaliers are projected to start 7 in 2025.


QB Chandler Morris is at his 4th school and is the projected starter. His time last year at North Texas he led the 3rd ranked offense in the country. UVA could be a sleeper in the ACC if Morris replicates his success from last season. Nebraska transfer QB Daniel Kaelin was recieiving alot of good press at Nebraska but of course never allowed to challenge for the starting position with the overrated Raiola being gifted the starting job under Rhule.

An interesting "sleeper" for the Cavaliers might be Owen Gardner. He transferred over from Hillsdale college in prior to 2024.

Players to look out for are OL Ethan Sipe, OT David Wohlabaugh Jr, WR Eli Wood, DL Daniel Rickert (uber productive FCS transfer), DE Billy Koudelka, LB Trey McDonald, FS Ethan Minter

DE Fisher Camac was a force at UNLV last year - 15 TFL and 7.5 sacks. Hopefully he wreaks some havoc in the ACC.

I noticed Ethan Minter was playing for UVA. Add another White DB to the watchlist!


@Freethinker - Not sure about Chandler Morris to be honest. Had a huge year in 2024 at North Texas. He's off to a good start this season as well so hopefully he gains buzz this year.

Thank you both for the info. I'm guessing age and size will be big knocks against him. If he was black, age (Hooker) and size (Murray / Young) wouldn't be consider a big deal...
