Blaskowski wins his heat in 10.12 (1.4w).Sam Blaskowski who just graduated college a month ago has now turned pro. He is running the 100 meters in Edmonton, Canada today. I don't expect much from him as he has had a very long indoor and outdoor season in college. Plus times in Canada are usually slower than
the average. I'm glad he has turned pro but I hope his coach takes it easy on him this summer. Give his body time to rest and come back in 2026 with fire and ice in his veins ready to rumble. This guys is so fun to watch and I still would prefer he goes to Poland to run for their National Team. Either way we will be rooting for you Sam!
10.32 in the finals (0.3w).Blaskowski wins his heat in 10.12 (1.4w).

Bummer he ran so much slower in the finals. Whoever organized the camera work was awful. You couldn't really see how the runners were doing during the race with the head on view. He didn't look injured so I'm guessing he just ran slow due to it being his second race of the day.Sam Blaskowski finished 2nd to last in the finals in a time of 10.32. He shot his load too early. Great to get his first professional experience though.
Audrey Leduc ran a 10.94 +0.9 and an 11.06 to win the finals. She is amazing!
They probably just learned the “secret” of how to get faster as you get older from Justin Gatlin! In all seriousness though it is frustrating to see, but it’s also frustrating that Larsson, Browning and many other white guys can run 10.0x but never seem to get that extra stride needed to break 10. The cheaters are always there but it doesn’t matter when whites consistently underperform year after year.Just a quick rant. The 2 fastest guys in Europe in the Mens 100 Meters are from the United Kingdom(England). They are both in
their 30's yet seem to get better as they get older. All I'm saying is if you smell smoke, there is probably fire. Something isn't right and
this is what sucks so much about Athletics. So many cheaters never get caught. Can't say for sure but it just don't smell right and I've watched track for decades. Seen this crap too many times. I feel so bad for clean athletes in all sports.
Wdowik with a 10.31 and Tortu with a 10.38. I'm guessing these guys are just racing to stay in medium condition as they look to begin the process of peaking for worlds??On July 15th in Italy we will see both Filippo Tortu and Oliwer Wdowik. I'm interested to see how Wdowik runs after his sensational
10.10 with no wind in his last race. Can he go faster? Let's hope so as it's a good field of sprinters.
Also curious to see how Tortu does over 100 as he ran 10.19 wind legal earlier this summer. He rarely runs the 100 anymore. It makes me
so angry as he has never gone sub 20 in the 200 meters. Tortu does have a wind legal 9.99 in the 100 meters. So why give up the event for
the last 3 to 4 years? So stupid just like what happened with Matthew Boling.
Good luck to both of these sprinters in Italy tommorow.
I'm thinking this might be a calculated move since the worlds aren't until September. Maybe they are just waiting to begin the process to peak around that time?Oliwer Wdowik really was a let down today. Could be nerves as he had the slowest reaction time out of the blocks. He just wasn't relaxed
and he looked awful. Not sure how you can go from a 10.10 to a 10.31 that quickly. Hope he bounces back soon. Very sad to see.
With Tortu he is also so up and down. Just frustrating overall.
