North Dakota State continues to destroy its opponents in the FCS this season, thanks to its large contingent of White playmakers, many of whom i've mentioned before. today, three especially stood out with electrifying performances.
senior wide receiver/kick returner
Ryan Smith, a former record-setting high school 100- and 200-meter sprinter, returned 1 kickoff today ... but it was for 100 yards and a touchdown. he also added 2 catches for 37 yards and another touchdown.
fellow wide receiver
Zach Vraa, former Minnesota Mr. Football and state champion in the 110-meter hurdles (and runner-up as a junior) in high school, has another exquisite outing as he continues to embarrass opposing secondaries. he finished the day with 7 catches for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns. measuring in at 6-foot-2 and a shade over 200 pounds with game-breaking speed, it'd be difficult to understand why Vraa, now a junior, wasn't recruited by any Division One programs ... if it weren't for the Caste System, that is.
Christian Dudzik doesn't even play offense, but the junior free safety did touch the ball 3 times today. he returned 2 punts ... one for 43 yards and a touchdown and the other for 68 yards and another touchdown. he also added a 29-yard kick return.
that's an awful lot of blue collar overachieving going on!
