I remember visiting an ex- friend's family in Philly circa 1989. The emotional investment they had in the Eagles which was led by Randell Cunningham was off the charts. Their fervent support of the team was much like that of a cult figure, day Jim Jones. I was there for the entire weekend. Almost 24/7 it was Eagles this and Eagle that. Then Sunday came and da Eagles lost. LOL, the rest of the day you could hear a mouse flatulate and sad faces wall to wall. From 70 yr olds to 10 yrs old. I was deep in the heart of DWF country. I wish I could have told him that his family was DWF nation to the core back then.

I have to admit I have always been an Eagles fan.

Big Nick Foles fan here. I'm hoping he has a good game against the Vikings.

I hope the Vikings win though. They're more pro white than the Eagles.

Very weird IMO to root for a player on Team A but also for Team B to defeat Team A. But then again I've always paid more attention to game scores than individual g2g stats which to me have always been a sideshow to scores and standings.

I have to confess that in the original '02-'05 dynasty era, when I was just a kid and before I became racially aware, I hated the Patriots, just because they won so much.

As a kid growing up in Miami and who bled aqua and orange for so many years, it's still hard for me to root for the Patriots. I respect the fact that they've been fair to white players but it really does sting year after year seeing them win Super Bowls with largely white teams while my team remains coal black, who hires idiots like Mike Tannenbaum and racist GM's like Chris Grier, and who passes on talented white players in the draft in favor of inferior blacks.

I was a die hard Chiefs fan, only slightly cognizant of the racial disparity polluting the league. When my son started playing ball as a running back, the gauze was lifted from my eyes to the caste system. I still pay close attention to KC, hoping for more whites, and this year they were not horribly bad. Probably a D+ or a C-. That said, most of my Sunday attention if I'm watching at all, is toward rooting for individual players throughout the league.

As soon as Kelce was skulled in the wild card game, my attention turned to the remaining "white visibility" teams, Patriots, Vikings, and Rams. Glad that the Pats survived, Go Patriots!
