Your impressions of other ethnicities/nationalities

I am curious whether there are any white/Caucasian ethnicities you guys and gals feel a particular sense of connection to or an admiration for (other than those you are descended from/are of your ethnicity/make up a part of your heritage) based on personal experiences (people from these ethnicities you have encountered in real life), your knowledge pertaining to their historical trajectories and cultures, etc. Which white ethnicities do you believe stand out due to possessing a high level of healthy national pride and are there any that you consider to be insufficiently patriotic? Which white countries are the most deserving of being emulated? Canyou think of examples of white ethnicities that are nationalistic, but are at the same time not very sympathetic to the notion of white unity and even disparaging about it (their sense of ethnic belonging significantly trumps and/oris almost exclusionary of their white identity)?
I will add another question that is possibly worth discussing (though relatively few people may be in a position to answer) – do you generally find it easier to get along with African-Americans or African migrants/temporary visitors to the USA? Among nationalist-minded whites, the consensus generally appears to be that on the individual level Africans are as a rule friendlier to whites than black Americans and less likely to be overly sensitive when it comes to racial issues. This is presumably due to the lack of historical racial baggage (even if the cultural divergences may be vast), but I personally haven’t found a significant difference in that respect (judging by my – admittedly limited - interactions with Afro-Canadians and Africans inToronto). I can’t honestly say that Afro-Canadians have given me the impression of being very highly strung and inclined to pontificate on racial matters.

Giles, I'd say Germans & Russians . I'm mostly of Anglo-Saxon stock (w/ a bit of Scots-Irish, Welsh & Norse), but appreciate the heritage and many contributions of the Germans & Russians.

I went to a minority-majority high school that was roughly 35% white (mainly Anglo-Saxon, Russian, and a large amount of white Brazilian exchange students) and the other 65% being made of up all sorts of different racial and ethnic groups. I had about a half a dozen black friends, and all but one were recent immigrants from Africa. It was much easier to get along with them than the majority of "African-Americans" students there who were a little too vain and "gangsta" for me.

@DixieDestroyer, thank you for the response! My ethnic roots are from the Balkans and I also have great admiration for the Germans.They are very industrious people and the ones I know have been true to stereotype by proving themselves kind and reliable when it really counted. It has also been my impression that Germans often cling to a “Central European”rather than a merely “Western” identity – this currently enables them to stay above the East vs. West divisions which are unfortunately still part and parcel of the European fabric.

Also, English and Irish Canadians have always struck me as very friendly and welcoming to other Europeans. I am naturally sympathetic to Russians as well (they have as a rule been quite supportive of the nationalist struggles of the Balkan people and are very proud of their culture and language - Russians can be quite tolerant of "cultural others", but at the same time are not afraid to give a verbal lash out if other ethnicities criticize their country).

@TheSpaniard, thank you for sharing your perspective, interesting take on the issue! Spain is an amazing country and one of the states that I always associate with the spread of European civilization to all corners of the globe. Spain's sporting achievements (in football, basketball, etc.) over the last 10 years have been extremely impressive.

I have found Ghanaians (in Canada and the UK) to be gregarious and somewhat more willing to mingle with whites in comparison to Nigerians (more inclined to stick to their own social circles and keep their guard up when conversing with outsiders). African-Americans and Africans definitely have a bit of a love-hate relationship with each other.

I have a great deal of respect for the Scottish, Irish, Spanish, German, Turkish, Greek, and Russian histories and heritages for various reasons.

Europe aside, I also have a deep respect and admiration for Egyptians & Ancient Egyptians, Iranians & Ancient Persians, Iraqis, and Indians.

In addition to people of my own heritage (English, French and Irish) I admire the Russians, Ukrainians, Poles, Scots, Romanians, Spaniards, Dutch, Scandinavians and Greeks.

There is plenty to be admired about all the nations of Caucasian peoples. The Anglo-Saxon, Scandinavian, Germanic, Celtic, Italian, French, Spanish, Russian, Swiss, Czech, and kindred peoples all have interesting histories of overcoming unthinkable odds.

If I was to choose a culture/nation/people that I admire "most" it would be the collection of European peoples that became Americans. The Americans/Confederates of 1776-1876 were probably the hardest, most durable people in all of history.

They threw the tea in the Harbor, and said screw the king we aint taking it no more.
They fought back violent, hostile savages, and carved the greatest nation the world has even known out of a wilderness.
They Whipped back the Mexicans even though they were out numbered 5 to 1, and not nearly as well armed.

They were from the stock of literally every European People. When they came together they did unimaginable things.

Of course those mighty people (our forefathers) are slandered, and viewed as evil by most of their descendants.

Yessir! That's my (direct) bloodline kinfolk & favorite people as well!

The greatest men of our nation lived during that period...the Founding Fathers, Daniel Boone, Andrew Jackson, Generals Lee, Jackson & Forrest, Lewis & Clark, D.L. Moody, Eli Whitney, Sam P. Jones, Jefferson Davis, Davy Crockett, Cyrus McCormick, Jim Bridger, etc. These were heroic legends of the real America (1.0).

Most come here with nothing and spend 60-70 hours a week doing construction in the scorching heat.
