XFL held a Supplemental Draft last week and 66 players were selected. From a Castefootball perspective, only three were really notable:

D.C. Defenders: WR Tyler Palka Gannon -- D.C. now has 14 WR's, including two whites (check post #49), so this ex-college quarterback/receiver is probably a bit of a long shot.

Dallas Renegades: SS Ryan Moeller Colorado -- Per my count, first white DB selected in this league. Surprised he wasn't drafted last month. Led AAF in interceptions last winter.

Tampa Bay Vipers: WR Tanner McEvoy Wisconsin -- Former NFL receiver. Tall, fast and athletic. Clearly a victim of the Caste system, as he was also a standout DB at Wisconsin.

As Leonardfan noted in post #48, like the Alliance American Football (AAF), the XFL is becoming a "Flophouse" for black NFL busts. This Supplemental draft was supposed to have "better talent", as it was promoted as a draft with more NFL caliber players, who were waiting around for NFL offers (that never arrived) the last 6 weeks. But the only thing the XFL seemed to net was bigger "busts".

At the "Caste positions" (WR, RB, DL, LB & DB), the highest drafted white in the XFL is Ben Heeney, who was a 5th round pick in the NFL. Most of the whites were never drafted and still hope to play in the NFL. Below are some notable blacks selected by the XFL last week, that were drafted in the top 4 rounds in the NFL Draft in recent years:

WR Terrance Williams Baylor
DT Will Clarke West Virginia
LB Antonio Morrison Florida
DT Gabe Wright Auburn
OG Dorian Johnson Pittsburgh
DT Jay Bromley Syracuse

Former, notable NFL players selected include Marquette King, dubbed "The most entertaining punter in football" and Eli Rogers, former Pittsburgh Steelers slot-receiver/return specialist....Rumor is the XFL will have another Supplemental Draft in January, right after the NFL season ends. Former Toronto (CFL) starting running back James Wilder Jr. asked for his release yesterday and the Argos obliged. Rumor is, he'd like to return to Tampa to play. Either the Buccaneers or the Vipers of the XFL. James Wilder Sr., was a star running back for the Buccaneers, in the early years of the franchise. Why should we care? Well, that could open up the door for A.J. Oulette to become a full time starter in Ontario. Starting white running backs are just as uncommon in Canada....DE Jake Cersena, who had an impressive pre-season with the Giants, has rebuffed the XFL. He has re-signed with Edmonton of CFL, where he was an all-CFL caliber defensive end, before jumping to the Giants last January.
Do you have a clue if the XFL honors NFL suspensions as Max McCaffrey has a ten game suspension for "drugs", usually if it's PED's that is mentioned but this could be anything from PED's to pot to hardcore narcotics(god forbid).

Also the XFL is trying to protect Josh Johnson(yes I know it's laughable), but he is under contract and the league has been rumored to be talking to lawyers about tampering???

Hey maybe some XFL squad that has Trent Richardson's rights can sue the Dolphins for tampering to sign him in place of the immortal Kalen Ballage......

WIR, I believe Max began serving his NFL suspension following week 7? If that is the case, I'd assume his 10 game NFL suspension would either be "served" or just have one or two games left after this NFL season is over? Not sure why the XFL would honor his suspension, but I don't know the absolute answer to that. I do know, there have been NFL stars that have played in the CFL while serving long drug suspensions.

Based on media speculation, Max's suspension was due to PED use, which makes sense considering his size/bulk -- or, more specifically, his lack of size/bulk. In the little I've seen of him in the NFL, he really does look small out there. That said, there are plenty of smallish black receiver's/kick returners/tailbacks and little is said about that in a negative way.

Just one more significant note: The D.C. Defenders' head coach/GM is Pep Hamilton, who happens to be black. I know he worked at Stanford when Christian was successfully recruited. Eventually he moved on to coach quarterbacks at Michigan --where another McCaffery was successfully recruited at quarterback......Hamilton then selects Max in the XFL Draft. There is no doubt he has a positive connection with the family.

I think Max needs the XFL if wants to have any sort of NFL career. Going the workout/pre-season/practice squad route will no longer work for him. He needs to really be a dominant receiver in the XFL, if he's ever going get a legit NFL look. I think he has an ally in Pep Hamilton. Cardale Jones and Tyree Jackson are currently projected as D.C.'s top quarterback options.

Yes the CFL had "star" player Ricky Williams put up Terry Metcalf type numbers for a season while was under suspension for marijuana use for it seemed like the millionth time.

XFL has set their initial 52 man rosters for Week 1. Here is a quick summary, from a CF perspective:

Seattle:
It appears Seattle Seahawks "pioneer" Jim Zorn is doing his best to "out-whigger", "Plantation Pete". Don't forget, Zorn is from the odious Mike Holmgren coaching tree, which spawned the likes of Andy Reid, Ray Rhodes and other Caste b!tches. Those slugs groomed current Caste as$ wipes like Rodent Nagy in Chicago and Cleveland's horrific GM (Dorsey-Calhoun)....WR Austin Proehl is the only notable white at a Caste position (WR, RB and Defense).....Athletic, young safety Parker Baldwin was cut by Seattle. Greg Gaines' old tag-team partner at UW, DT Shane Bowman, was dealt away and eventually cut by Tampa. No reason to watch or track this team at all, other than Austin Proehl.

Los Angeles: I figured Winston Moss would be the most hard-core Caste stodge and was not wrong. I expected him to be in the Dennis Green, Hatie Smiff category and it looks like I was correct. Only notable white at a Caste position is WR Nelson Spruce. Like Seattle, which has reportedly sold a lot of season tickets [by XFL standards], this team is all black on defense -- 25/25 black. Looking back at other "rival leagues" in L.A., expect minuscule crowds to watch this odious team led by nearly 40 year old black quarterback Josh Johnson.

Dallas: I figured Bob Stoops would be a "white Winston Moss". This roster isn't great, by any means, but not as terrible as I expected either. Used higher picks on AAF stars DT Winston Craig and LB Greer Martini. Former Northwestern star WR Flynn Nagel, surprisingly, made the team. SS Ryan Moeller, who led the prematurely aborted AAF with 4 Int's (7 games) in 2019, was cut to make room for 4 slugs.... Young DT/XFL draft pick Ray Smith (Ex-B.C star) is currently on 49er's P-Squad and is not expected to play with Dallas?....Team will be led by (currently injured) ex-Steelers QB Landry Jones. Athletic quarterback Eric Dungey is on this team.

Houston: I expected better from June Jones. White RB Nick Holley is one of fours RB's on the roster. Notable DL Davis Tull and DE Taylor Reed were drafted but neither is on the roster. I assume former B.C. LB Ty Schwab is white. He'd likely be their only white defender....Connor Cook is the quarterback. Unless Holley becomes a featured runner, absolutely no reason to watch this team!

New York: Led by ex-NFL offensive guru Kevin Gilbride, this might be the best of this sorry Caste league. Notable whites at Caste positions include LB Nick DeLuca and LB Ben Heeney picked Day 1. Heeney was selected first round. Other whites include DE Ryan Mueller, LB Frank Ginda, LB Garrett Dooley and WR Colby Pearson, who was highly praised during N.Y.'s pre-season for his speed......WR Tanner Gentry, is injured, while XFL drafted RB Tommy Bohanon decided against playing.

St. Louis: Jay Hayes' team is Caste as I expected. Good luck filling a NFL sized Domed Stadium with this group of Caste minor leaguers? DT Casey Sayles (former AAF star) and WR Brandon Reilly are the only notable whites at Caste positions. DL Kellen Soulek and Jake Payne, who I assume are white, also made the team....Athletic quarterback Nick Fitzgerald is on this team. If anyone cares (I absolutely don't) Lonsman WR Daniel Braverman is on this teams injured list, but could be activated at some point?

Washington D.C.: Notable whites at Caste positions: LB Scooby Wright and LB A.J. Tarpley. Talented DE Jake Cersena went back to the CFL and DT Kristjan Sokoli, former Seahawks OL, was a surprise cut.....D.C. brought in 5 white wide receivers. The least known, Tyler Palka, (Gannon Univ) is the only one on their roster......Max McCaffrey decided not to play. Former N.Y. Giant Ed Eagan and Jordan Westerkamp were cut. Not sure what happened to Richard Mullaney, but he is also gone.....Buffalo Bills draft bust Cardale Jones is this teams "highly touted" leader.

Tampa Bay: Lonsman Marc Trestman and the eccentric Jerry Glanville (Def. Cor) run this team. Notable whites at Caste positions are WR Reece Horn (Ex-AAF Star), WR Tanner McEvoy and CFL refugees DE Jason Neill and LB Lucas Wacha, who's brother is a prominent MLB pitcher (N.Y. Mets). Trestman should start fellow lonsman Aaron Murray, who will be backed up by Chase Litton at quarterback....This team also features S Micah Hanneman, who looked Polynesian to me when he played in the AAF last winter.

White WR's on 52 Man Rosters:

Austin Proehl
Nelson Spruce
Colby Pearson
Brandon Reilly
Tyler Palka
Reece Horn
Tanner McEvoy

Flynn Nagle

Bucky, thanks for the update on "Team 9" , which is XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck's idea for a league wide practice squad. This group of players will be based in Dallas and practice/train throughout the season. Pretty good chance most of the players on Team 9 will be promoted this season when injuries hit. For example, the XFL already lost their marquee player to a season ending knee injury: Antonio Calloway (Tampa Bay Vipers), who washed out of the NFL only due to off-field issues.

Bucky, thanks for bringing the new names to the forefront. I did not know about the two white WR's you noted on Team 9. Both were signed by New York, which is clearly the least Caste team in this rancid, new league....Below are some noteworthy players that are not currently on a XFL roster. All these players have been discussed here at CF recently.

Some here were wondering about former Lehigh tailback Dominick Bragalone? He was in the league's original XFL Draft Pool (976 players) but was never drafted or signed by a team.

Like Dallas Renegades draft pick (DT) Ray Smith, former Purdue safety Jacob Theinman was included in the XFL Draft pool, but is currently on the San Francisco 49er's practice squad.

Former Wheaton CB Tyler Sigler, who had a very strong pre-season with the Arizona Cardinals (including a nice 50-plus yard Int), was also completely ignored. Was not drafted or signed.

Former Packers running back/fullback Aaron Ripkowski worked out over the summer and was in the XFL draft. Like ex-NFL starter Tommy Bohanon, he likely decided against playing.

White Team 9 defensive tackle Shane Bowman was traded by Seattle to Tampa Bay for two black players last week. Both blacks made the Dragons roster; Bowman was cut by the Vipers?

This league seems significantly more anti-White than the NFL. A tough task to accomplish. All brought to us by the “conservative” Vince McMahon.

Yes, Freethinker, this league seems to be even more anti-white than the NFL. Same thing happened with the AAF, which was run by Bill Polian -- a Goy most here at CF would agree was one of the least-Caste GM's during his almost 30 year run with Buffalo, expansion Carolina and Indianapolis. If Polian couldn't put together a slightly less-Caste league than the NFL, what makes anyone believe Vince and the ultra-nerdy Oliver Luck can?

In fairness to all these men, how could Vince or any XFL executive go about saying (even privately) they want a league with more white players? In Kosher USA Vince and Ollie Luck openly brag about the greater number of black head coaches, GM's (in proportion to the NFL) and starting black quarterbacks they've hired and are openly proud of the fact there will be at least one female official working every XFL game. Yet, if it was discovered they mentioned in a private conversation (or E-Mail) that it would be beneficial for attendance if the XFL had a few more white tailbacks and wide receivers, they'd be castigated to no end by the media and, perhaps, sued for racial discrimination? As I pointed out in another post, the Atlanta Hawks previous owner was stripped of his team for something even more innocuous several years ago.

Only good news, is the XFL does have 8 white wide receivers to start the season (8 team league). Granted it's a much smaller sample of teams, but that's one per team? I think, most years, the NFL's 32 teams have only about 16 or 17 white wide receivers total to start seasons. Eventually a few more get promoted from Practice Squads in the NFL, but the total is never close to one per team. Once again, the good news ends right there!

New York and Tampa Bay might be the only teams worth watching at all and both are pretty darn Caste! How it compares to the NFL? Again, Freethinker, I would say it's worse, believe it or not! In terms of white skill position and defense players it's probably the same (except at WR). At quick glance, however, I'd say it's worse overall because even several very Caste NFL teams (i.e. Kansas City, Tennessee, Detroit, Atlanta, San Francisco) have at least 4 starting white offensive lineman. It's hard to say with 100% accuracy (unless I google most of the offensive linemen), but it appears the XFL has a noticeably larger percentage of black and Polynesian offensive lineman than the NFL, and even the aborted AAF. Another difference, in favor of the AAF, is there were no starting black quarterbacks in 2019; in the XFL there are currently 3 and a couple others pushing for starting jobs.

According to an XFL message board, it seems like the league is expecting surprisingly good attendance this weekend. Seattle, St. Louis and Dallas seem to be doing the best, with scaled down Stadiums -- tons of NFL seats covered up by tarps. This is par for the course for most new leagues, good crowds and decent TV ratings early. Eventually, usually by week 3, the struggles start to surface. Can't say I'm rooting for this league to succeed, but I will track the whites at Caste positions this spring and attempt to post them here at CF, if possible.

Apparently this league has a better TV set up than the AAF. But I find myself even less enthusiastic now than I did for the AAF perhaps because that league was unwatchable and I don't want to struggle through another half ass league again. But like the AAF I will give it a peek for a week or two but it only took me one round of games to reject the AAF. But based on the fine reporting above and roster layouts including perhaps some white WR hope I am still not optimistic about this league. Will all of the white wide receivers start? I doubt it.

And while starting around the same time of year as the AAF it still infringes on the baseball season as it stretches into April and once people get a sniff of spring baseball that will take center stage. This league will likely be dust at that point.

Unless the relatively few white players move to the front of the line I don't see this half ass mainly black cast off league succeeding. In fact if it is anything like the AAF then I hope it fails miserably. Which would send a message that people have a tolerance level when it comes to shoving any ole black athletes up our you know what.

Shadowlight, based on the limited "buzz" I've seen over at XFL.com, I think Nelson Spruce and Austin Proehl will start, or at least play a lot. There were a lot of articles/notes posted about them -- particularly Proehl. Nonetheless, be forewarned, Spruce and Proehl will basically be the only whites at Caste positions on their respective teams. I don't foresee myself watching much, if these teams play. Brandon Reilly has also gotten some buzz, too....so I think he could start?

Tampa lost their marquee player to a season ending knee injury: Wide receiver Antonio Calloway, who washed out of the NFL due to off-field issues. They also cut former NFL pick Stacey Cooley. So, I think Tanner McEvoy should start.....also, former AAF star Reece Horn could make an impact as a "deep threat". So if McEvoy and Horn start or play a lot, Tampa could be watchable (despite an all Summo O-line), at least compared to the other teams? I've also seen some positive notes regarding Colby Pearson, who was being lauded for his speed. A very rare white considered a deep threat? Of all the XFL's white receiver's, I'm thinking Pearson could be the one to watch, in terms of being a potential NFL prospect. Spruce, Reilly, Horn, Proehl and McEvoy already had their NFL shots. Not sure they'll get another chance...at least a legit chance to make it? Pearson could intrigue NFL scouts, as a bit of a "hidden gem", even though he attended BYU.

Forgot to list Flynn Nagel in my previous post, so that makes it an average of one white wide receiver per team. Nagle and Adam Palka received no "buzz", that I saw, this pre-season. So, let's hope they surprise people? Like Pearson, neither really got a chance in the NFL. Is Houston the only team with no white wide receivers? I thought so, but it appears they might feature the XFL's only white tailback, Nick Holley, at wide receiver? Also, keep in mind former Chicago Bear Tanner Gentry is on N.Y.'s injured reserve list. He can be activated at any time, I think?

P.S./Edit: Shadowlight, here is an Unofficial XFL Depth Chart. I guess we'll find out how accurate it is this weekend? If true, Spruce, Holley, Nagle, Horn and Pearson will start. Here are some fantasy notes regarding the aforementioned players.

Houston Roughneck's RB Nick Holley with the sweet catch (nice throw PJ Walker) between two defenders! Just interviewed him 3 Torn ACL's in his career + broke his back? "Just loves football; being former QB need to go up & get it".....

WR Nelson Spruce (L.A. Wildcats) XFL's 1st 100+ Receiving game....

Best performance of the week, in my opinion, was Austin Proehl. Here's video of his spectacular 57 yard TD for the Seattle Dragons.

The player Proehl toasted on the sideline (#45) was our old friend Rahim Moore, who caused quite a bit of angst here at Caste Football in 2012. That year the Broncos had a fairly white friendly roster. Consistently starting 10 whites, including 2 white wide receivers. Team also played safety Jim Leonhard a ton and utilized Jacob Hester as a runner quite a bit going down the stretch. They had a 13-3 season and were favored to go the Super Bowl by a lot pundits. They were on their way to the AFC title game, until the slow-footed Moore gave up a horrific 70 yard TD with just 31 seconds left to tie the game at 35-35. Wound up losing in 2OT by a field goal to a Caste Baltimore team. To this day, that play still bugs me. Broncos signed Wes Welker the next year, but had a huge racial cleansing (tons of cuts & retirements) after that loss to Baltimore -- dropped to 4 or 5 white starters in 2013. They made it to the Super Bowl that year, but where humiliated by Seattle.

Speaking of Colorado, Wikipedia notes Max McCaffery was released by the XFL. That might not be entirely true or is flat out fake news? D.C. drafted him fairly high in October. He joined the team in December for a week of initial workouts and caught some praise for being "sneaky fast", according to XFL.com. But he was never cut, according to the Transaction page at XFL.com. When the team got together in January to prepare for the season, he was a no-show. Didn't know why, but now it appears he has retired to pursue a coaching career, having joined Northern Colorado's staff last month. If they did release Max, it probably happened after he told him he was going into coaching! I agree, it would've been nice to see him play in the XFL. I guess once he stopped chasing an NFL spot in the fall, why bother with the XFL?

Ex-AAF super-star Reece Horn had a strong debut at wide receiver (3 rec/42 yards) for Tampa, considering how bad their QB's were. The fact that Horn did not play a single game for the Miami Dolphins in 2019 is totally farcical!....Meanwhile, it appears former NFL wideout Tanner McEvoy is currently relegated to special teams mascot in Tampa. If so, that probably closes the door to an NFL return, for the tall, athletic speedster.......Much like McEvoy, Brandon Reilly is a player we hoped would play a lot in the XFL. He wasn't as obscure as Tanner game one, but he's clearly a backup.

We already mentioned Nelson Spruce's big day (11 rec/103 yds), but young Flynn Nagle had a decent showing in the slot game one: 6 catches (targets) for 43 yards. Nothing special, but not bad for a kid that hasn't played at all since college, in 2018.

Colby Pearson only had 2 catches for 42 yards in his debut for N.Y., but in the brief time I watched the XFL games Sunday, the announcers noted he was constantly getting open deep, but his quarterback (Matt McGloin) could not get it too him. I think, following week one, Pearson and Proehl are the two watch going forward, vis-a-vis getting a decent NFL shot....By the way, side note, horrible idea for N.Y. to play at Met Life Stadium. Jets and Giants could rarely fill it in 2018 & 2019, the XFL looked like a joke with 17,000 in such a huge stadium....If possible, they should've played at Red Bull Arena (MLS) or Yankee Stadium. One thing the XFL does not need is stadiums where 75% (or more) of the seats are empty. The optics are horrible. That's likely what doomed the AAF after just 7 weeks in 2019 - way too many empty seats seen on TV. Just automatically gives a game "Bush League" feel to it!

I got a good look at the games this weekend and an excellent recap by Truthteller up above. The last game on the docket was lacking white players and my interest dipped very low. I would add NY LB Ben Heeney to the star list too but as mentioned here these teams lack white defenders for the most part.

It goes without saying I am rooting very hard for the white WRs to perform well. And there are enough it seems to keep things interesting I hope. But the lack of white defenders is obvious. In fact overall as mentioned above it seems less white than even the NFL.

But I want to lay out the problems which are similar to the defunct AAF beyond the dispiriting racial outlay.

1-I am not in the mood to watch anymore football. And when the combine rolls around that will be my main focus as well the pre draft stuff, pro days, free agency and of course the draft which takes place April 23-25.

2- This is the "kiddie" league so no matter how well white players perform that cloud will hang over them. Plus watching a player like WR Proehl only reinforces the idea that he should be in the NFL. Before his draft a couple of years ago he ran the fastest 40 yard dash at the most prestigious regional combine and got drafted too. Yet he was discarded very quickly. Heeney however did play a spell for the Raiders several years ago and looked like an NFL talent but somehow he was let go?

3- Once baseball starts for fans like me I am not going to carve out time to watch football in the spring. I'll be too busy following Mike Trout's every move etc..

4- Even though this league has a better economic structure than the AAF and better TV showcases I have my doubts it will survive. Will they attract crowds at the stadiums and on TV? Maybe from people who only follow football but I follow most of the sports like college basketball which heats up with March Madness.

5- Even if the league manages to hang on is that a clear sign of victory? It sort of reminds me of the CFL with better coverage. And I have never gotten around to paying attention to the CFL. It could become one of those American drone leagues like the MLS which can't escape the shadow of more important soccer events like the World Cup or leagues like the Premier League and others. Or the propped up WNBA which isn't as noteworthy as NCCA women's basketball in my book. So the XFL will be the little step brother to the real deal the NFL and I just can't believe at the end of the day it will become a roaring success?

Johnny Manzell recently scoffed at the suggestion he play for the XFL saying that he didn’t want to play for a league that was just going to go broke. I understand his sentiment, but even a going-broke XFL is better than playing flag games at the “Y” or whatever he’s doing these days. What a colossal waste of a career.
