Justin Gatlin just set a world record in the 100 meter dash at 9.76

Will this record be eventually stricken from the record books. There are alot of rumours about Trevor Graham and his athletes. It's pretty hard to predict a record but they were doing that last week. You have to wonder what Gatlin will run late in the season........

We still haven't figured out the total reason why whites have trailed off as blacks have taken off since 1960. As for Gatlin, a guy who has in the past taken drugs to increase perfomance, I take his achievements with a big fat grain of salt.

Correct Sunshine. Gatlin's protective coloring got him off after he was
caught. Notice you never see that with white athletes in the sport - no
matter the event? The fact that Gatlin's coach is Trevor Graham says it all.
The flip side is that you can be sure he's facing very, very few clean athletes
at the top. Just as blacks are more likely to be drug users 'on the street', in
track they are the biggest abusers while getting that 'get out of jail free' card
the media loves to toss blacks, latinos, women, jews. The media had a field
day pointing at E. Europeans while our 'crew' was just as dirty. Don't worry
though, they'll find some thrower to concentrate on!

Ooops. Had to add another post. Sunshine - I think the 'tailing off' of
whites after 1960 has a lot to do with the 'bolshevists' finally getting
control of things here in the US. Look at what whites did in the 1960
Games - Ray Norton going down in flames, whites winning the 100 and
200, and even by the '64 Games, whites were still a presence in sprinting.
But by 1968, the promotion of blacks, the media attacks on whites, had
begun to take its toll on whites. I've mentioned before that Sports
Illustrated literally changed the tone of its coverage overnight in '68 -
never mind the rest of the media. SI became so pro-black so fast it is
stunning, running articles back then on whites being inferior, just as 'all
of a sudden' colleges seemed to actively begin favoring blacks over
whites, and not just because of new snivel rights laws or 'enlightened
thinking'.

Don has mentioned 1968 as being extremely pivotal in what happened in
the US, and I'm inclined to agree, although I was only a wee lad at the
time. Look at some old issues of SI, Time, Newsweek, Look, etc. from '66,
'67 and then look at the tone they take by '68 and '69. The gloves were
off. Someday they'll probably pull the mask off, but by then, whitey will
already have been forced to fight and the folks in charge will be on the
run. I hope it's sooner rather than later.

Anyway, a lot of the reason for the drop off in whites is mental, not so
much as the supposed increase of blacks competing in the sport. Blacks
were always in the sport in the US, especially during the 20th century
from the late 1920's on. I will also say there is anecdotal evidence among
coaches and trainers that blacks 'respond' more readily to certain drugs
than other groups, especially when combining steroids and HGH. This
isn't only in track, talk with people involved in bodybuilding. With this in
mind, 1968 was the year dianabol really began to be used among
sprinters and other track athletes (of course throwers already had tried
it). It's interesting that the IOC did their own investigation on the drug,
which was legal at the time, and mentioned the third world countries and
their use of the drug - naming
Jamaica and Kenya as two of the more prominent countries involved in its
use. The drug would help sprinting, and definitely would help middle
distance and long distance runners recover faster and possibly add a bit
of speed and strength over the last lap of a tough race. Of course, it's fun
to hear the PC Pigs squeal over this, but that's just the way things were. Edited by: Colonel Callan

CC a few things. First while I think the late 60's did produce some sort of sea change within the sports community and recruiters etc. took notice the media as far as I can tell started sometime in the early to mid 80's, (around the same exact time ESPN rose to prominence), to really draw the line between black and white athleticism. Of course in the 60's with civil rights blacks advanced in many areas, sports included of course. One good way to test the media theory is to listen to broadcasts from that era and to my ears the difference is astounding. None of the Vitale like "blacks are superior athletes" rants.
The current blase media approach to a lot of the black sprinters and drug rumours is in sharp contrast to the racist attacks against the East Germans. And if you recall the Chinese swimmers got an earful from our media too. Which isn't to say there wasn't a lot of cheating going on because we now know there was rampant cheating.
Marion Jones who many cited as living proof that blacks are superior is just as suspicious as Bonds but has caught some but not nearly as much grief from the media. She was the media darling back in the day whereas nobody ever liked Bonds much. Again she is a sprinter which is what the media idetifies with black athletes. Bonds is now a beer league softball banger.
The bottom line I feel is that the whole blacks may be cheating in sprints has been played by the media with a shrug. But when white athletes are caught cheating the unmissable media line reads like"they are cheating because they can't keep up with the blacks."
And I agree, just look at make ups of High school track teams.Way too many whites mentally have opted out of the running fast theme. Which is disturbing to me.

You have a point Jones who's husband was caught in 2000 with 1000 times the legal limit of testorone in his system(Im suprised he didn't drop dead on the spot), didn't raise much bad publicity for her at the time. Only when the paper trail of paying for steroids led to her that she was in a Bonds type media frenzy. By the way her destroying a mostly steroid laden field in 2000 should have raised alot of eye brows. When Nesterenko won in 2004 how many whispers of positive test were around eventhough she never tested positive? Whenever an American loses the media always assumes the foreigner is a cheat.....

They have a thread going on one of the track boards. It talks about how it's possible that this was not really a world record. For one thing, they changed the time from 9.77 to 9.76!I know they do the rounding thing but the wind was a perfect 2.0 mph.Graham and Gatlin had predicted this world record too.It just looks like they had to try to live up to it and it's possible that something fishy was going on.Whether or not it is true,Gatlin is the best big time sprinter in the world at the moment.Do I think he is clean? That would be a big no but he still isn't as juiced up as Asafa Powell from Jamaica.Anyways,at least the worlds fastest man is from America again.

Funny how he breaks the world record after he was hailed the world's fastest human for winning the Olympic 100 meter.

This was fixed. Gatlin's time could have been easily doctored by official timers. Gatlin has been considered the premier sprinter for a while now and until recently, hasnn't had the best time. Hmmm? The previous records have been dismissed due to steroids. Perhaps they needed a sprinter heralded as clean?

It looks like that happened as the world record was only equalled. Well it's a matter of time before this record falls as this is only May, and the best sprint times are usually achieved in July and August.....

Most of the Kenyans running in the 60s were basically dirt poor villagers living in remote villages. Just how were they supposed to get their hands on dinabol ?

The most common complaint on this website is how white athletes are stereotyped. I see a similar problem which people throwing accusations about other groups without substantiating them. This is counter productive to anyone who wants to see the US excel. Instead of telling a potential high school athlete that it takes hard work, you are telling him that doping is how the best athletes succeed.

Who said anyone here wants to see the U.S. excel?

This site is about championing the success of white athletes, American or foreign.

This site is about breaking stereotypes as they relate to white athletes, and additionally, the myth of black athletic supremacy.

You will find on this site Brits, Australians, Canadians, Serbs, and others, not just Americans. All of whom are here to support white athletes, not "American" athletes.

When the Lithuanians and Argentinians beat the likes of Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony, Stephon Marbury and the rest of the USA team in the 2004 Olympics, who do you think the members of this site supported? For whom did they cheer?

It wasn't the All-Black USA team.

For whom did we cheer when Wladimir Klitschko faced Chris Byrd? When Sergei Lyakhovich faced Lamon Brewster? When Oleg Maskaev faces Hasim Rahman, do you think we will be waving Old Glory and rooting for Rahman over Maskaev?

We will be hoping that Oleg knocks him through the ropes again.

I'm sure you feel that the viewpoints you espouse and the 'evidence' you present is sufficient to disprove the facts of the existence of the Caste System, but the truth is you haven't said anything that hasn't already been said. We are familiar with your arguments, too familiar in fact, and those arguments are the reason this site exists.

What i find fascinating and extremely pathetic, is how you guys NEVER say anythng regarding Wariner taking drugs, but as soon as a black kid ,such as say Asafa Powel breaks the record.."OH he must be on drugs".....notice a double standard here?/.....obviiusly these guys are tested before each race, if they are "suspected" to have drugs in their veins, they will be disqualified.

I find it funny as hell, because yall talk as if the dominance of black men on the 100 metre track is something thats about to end anytime soon. But reality will always proof you wrong. Because as soon as one great black runner dies, or retires, there is are like 100 more young black guys out in the streets of LA, Africa or Jamaica ready to take his position.

So keep dreaming. I truly wish all races could be equal and all that, but thats only wishful thinking because as far as physical abilities goes, blacks will always have the better side of teh stick.

Its time we all started supporting our american athletes regardless of race.

And sunshine, i find it hilarious when ppl who have never ran a race in their lives try and voice their opinions of athletism. Im from Canada, and im at almost every track meet around here, in fact i'll post my home page here one of these days. But anyways, i think whites are the majority,,,,every single runner, from 100m, to long distnace is white,,,,,there is no excuse, and you cant say whites are not being "boosted" into athletic performance. Every city, every state, and every school wants one of their children to put their school, state, city etc on the map. So i dont understand why a canadian goverment or atheltic facility would reject exceptional athletes primarily because they are whites.....so stop being delusional,,,,,the reason donavon baily, a jamaican immigrant won and broke the olympic 100m record is because whites canadians just couldnt do it....and they worship him for getting a gold medal for CANADA,,,,not for blacks.

McBride I don't recall ever giving out autobiographical info regarding myself and sports participation here at caste so why assume anything on that matter.
As for your sociological conclusion I strongly disagree. I think there has developed a gulf in general between the way whites and blacks approach sports. To me the biggest problem starts early and whites are much more casual and leisurely in the pursuit of sports than blacks in my opinion.

A few more things to address with McBride. As for the drugs you are being naive if you think the sport is clean. They get tested you say and that clears everything? Of course not. For crying out loud Justin Gatlin has been caught using drugs.
As for your blacks will are and always shall be superior mantra go with it if it makes you feel better pal. I don't dig that concept and will fight to my last breath to discredit it.

McBride isn't looking at the bigger picture. Of course exceptional whites
could be ignored by government training facilities. The government in
Canada is as anti-white and bolshevist owned as the 'government' of the
US. Look at your immigration policies, enticements, social programs, how
business loans are issued by the govt. and banks in Canada. Case closed.
No one ever said whites would dominate or make any event all white. This
strawman stuff from brainwashed weaklings and agent provocateurs is
tiresome. Whites with talent, with potential, are ignored. With so many
white 400 meter runners starting to blossom in the US, smart people will
wonder how many talented youngsters were ignored or discouraged over
the last 40 years or so. The brainwashed will tell us there is some kind of
crisis, as in baseball, and something must be done to get the magical
black back to his rightful position as ruler of the event. That the
brainwashing goes on isn't deniable. It goes on all over the West, not just
the US and Canada.

Blacks do have a higher percentage of people suited for the short sprints
- AND - a much higher tendency toward drug use, whether recreational
or as an 'ergogenic' aid in sports. It's their mental make-up, and the
awareness that they have a good chance of being protected by the powers
that be. How much 'official' trouble has Marion Jones really had yet?
None. Carl Lewis? Cover ups from US and Governing body officials galore.
Linford Christie. The same thing. Cover ups. He gets in 'trouble' once his
career is over. Evelyn Ashford? Ditto. Coverups. Gatlin? Yeah, just another
of the 5,000 professional black athletes with a learning disability. What's
his coaches history? Oh yeah, that's right. He's black, leave him alone.
Don't see this kind of 'work' going into white afflete protection in the
West. But part of that is because whites aren't really in charge. It starts
early with whites, the negativity. For blacks and others, it's nothing but
build up, build up, build up and praise. While the 'official' line says their
oppressed and belittled. It's rather amazing. It's better to ignore the
trolls. All they do is repeat the same crap you get from the televitz and
the papers. They are living proof that brainwashing works, I'll give them
that.

BTW - Free Safety: "Most of the Kenyans running in the 60s were basically
dirt poor villagers living in remote villages. Just how were they supposed
to get their hands on dinabol ? "

Not true. All of the Kenyans in '68 were from the Military or Central
police, and were 'coached' by John Velzian, a ridiculously anti-white "Brit"
who was later fired for a) taking all the credit for their success and b)
'rumors' of encouraging athletes to use drugs. As to who used and who
didn't, let the IOC and IAAF answer that. The dirt poor villager excuse is
still used today. No one is denying talent, people are pointing out some
of the hypocrisy that exists that allows certain people to get away with
things others would be villified for.Edited by: Colonel Callan

CC hits a nail when he goes over the way the media has skirted away from the T&F drug enhancements. Marion Jones is an extension of FloJo. The "attractive" black sprinter who reinforces the media belief that blacks are the superior athletic ideal. Jones has caught some grief but nowhere near the grief Bonds, MM,Sosa or Palmiero have had to endured. The media is so in love with the idea of black speed that it would be very interesting to see how they would react if it turned out black sprinters have been using drugs for years. And we cannot rule out that possibility. CC points to a lot of good clues that the media has conveniently overlooked.
Gatlin as an example. He failed a drug test and his coach is a notorious "chemist". He blisters throught the 100M. Yeh everything is on the up and up my rear end.
And CC couldn't agree more. With whites the negativity starts early. With blacks it is build up ad infinitum.

Hey McBride! If Gatlin is 100% clean, he must also be able to run a 40 400m. Wow, he could clock a 39-40 sec 400 clean

Here is Ben Johnson's opinion of Gatlin and Powell's success:

Ben is in Sweden and talked to Swedish newspaper "Expressen" and these are some of the things he had to say:

"9'77 That's impossible"

Ben J: It's impossible to run 9'77 if you're clean. Let me tell you something; They do take something illegal (Justin and Asafa). All the guys out there that are among the best are on steroids, maybe not before the race but they do cheat. Trust me, I know how it works.

"Expressen": How can you be so sure that Powell and Gatlin are on roids?

Ben J: 9'77 is amazing and it's impossible to run that fast without using drugs. The human body is not like a car. You need help to recover and build up. You can only reach to a certain level if you're clean..You See, that's logic.

Johnson still feels he's the fastest man in the world " Yes, I cheated but I did what everybody else were doing. They were protected and it was because of jealousy that I got caught".

Ben J "You do what you have to do to reach to the top, and I predict another doping scandal among the world's top sprinters in the near future"

Some of this is bitterness. He was ruined mentally and financially by his scandal. But at the base of this statement is the truth. Running marginally under 10 is possible. But a 9.9X isn't in the same league as a 9.7X. Also these guys are popping off sub 10's like they are candy. That's not possible clean.......

In the light of the revelations about the USOC's cover-ups of failed drug tests esp. as regards Carl Lewis, Johnson has reason to be bitter. Many of his competitors were protected. Must have been galling to him to have been reviled as the corrupter of
the Olympic spirit by the the likes of Lewis knowing they were dirty too.

In the book "Speed Trap"by Charlie Francis,he talks about how most of the elite sprinters have to use some chemical help in order to become the best.Francis has said it is almost impossible in the past to become the worlds fastest man if you are totally clean.

A friend of mine, who is White, ran the 400 and sometimes 200 in college. He juiced as did most of the team. None ever got caught. Steroid use in track and football is greatly underestimated. It's almost as if you have to shoot roids to keep up as you move up the ranks because the competition is. One advantage Blacks have is it's easier to visually tell when Whites are on steroids in comparison to Blacks, but if you have been around many roid heads you can usually tell either way.
