Yes, victory is most important, and of course we're all glad that Wlad Won. But entertainment does count for something. I want to watch a fun fight. To be fair, any HW will look awkward against Thompson. Wlad, Peter, Chagaev, all of them. Nonetheless, it was not a good fight, it was not aesthetically pleasing.
I wish that he would mix it up more. He showed glimpses of what he's capable of, like when he threw a right hook to the body, and followed it up with a right uppercut. Sweet! He also doubled up the hook, to the body and to the head. Nice! Why can't he do more of that? And not just pawing jab- pawing jab- pawing jab- right cross? Surely being less predictable would make him more effective, not to mention more entertaining as well.
