Wach stunned badly at the end of the 7th sagged into the ropes at the bell. He might be ready to go now.

Wach took more punishment in the 8th but made it out of the round. Wlad should pace himself he could punch himself out. He looked heavy legged himself at the end of the round.

I'm stunned they didn't stop the fight during the 8th round. Wach took a huge amount of punishment but seems to have regained some energy now and is at least defending himself and throwing something back.

Eddie Cotton lets fighters take a lot of punishment. Riddick Bowe should have been stopped against Golota in their rematch. Cotton let him get teeded off worse than this fight so far.

The post fight British panel is slagging Wlad for backing off. Especially Frank Maloney who probably has a political agenda as he was part of the Lewis team for years

On EPIX they gave Wlad lots of credit for this fight. They liked his aggresiveness.

Just finished watching the fight, I watched it with a friend online using one of the streams Carcharias provided (thanks for those links!). I always enjoy a good European fight and I loved watching this fight even though it was one sided!

I watched the fight socially so didn't keep score, but at most I would have given Wach 1 round maximum. So I felt the judges' scores were correct.

- My thoughts on Wladimir Klitschko's performance: I thought Wlad looked pretty good, not his career best, obviously, but he looked great. Amazing punching power, speed, aggression. Wlad must have landed 50 HUGE right hands on Wach's face. Wlad won every round and won them large. I was also very impressed that Wlad was a bit hurt at one point in the fight (round 5 or 6) but quickly managed to get his legs and resume dominating.

A- performance from Wlad. I think some people will criticize him for not stopping Wach. But I'm not one of those people. Wlad has a hellacious right hand and I thought he was fighting VERY WELL tonight. So ultimately, I was impressed with Wlad and I thought he fought a great fight, his attacks were superb and his opponent had an iron chin.

- My thoughts on Mariusz Wach's performance: I have to admit this is the first time Ive seen Wach fight, and damn this guy can take a punch! Those jabs and right hands he ate all night were brutal. This guy is very tough and has a terrific chin. I dont see this guy ever getting knocked out and you can see why he has never been dropped as an amateur or pro.

No quit in Wach, he tried his best and gave a great account of himself. He also has a decent jab and right hand that will make him competitive in a fight with anyone at heavyweight. This is a loss he can be proud of and he has actually raised his boxing profile in this fight, despite losing. Quite honestly, I could see Wach beating a lot of guys at heavyweight and I think we'll be seeing more of him in the future.

- Overall, I quite enjoyed the fight and I was impressed with both men. I do expect Wlad will be criticized a bit, but anyone with a brain watching the fight will see that Wach is a very tough guy. He's not a guy who gets KO'd and ultaimtely I think Wlad fought a terrific fight.

I also think this is a good win for Wlad's legacy, because, a few years from now, its highly possible that Wach becomes a champion.

Great fight! Solid win for Wlad against a very tough, durable opponent. I'd love to see Wach in against Tyson Fury next!

Wach did better than bums like Austin, Mormeck and Thompson.

Mariusz is tough as they come, and he'll have another big fight or two in the next few years.

I like the fact that he didn't give up. He was clearly out classed but fought till the very end. I did think the fight would be a bit more competitive. As usual, the anti-whites will mock the competition but Wach can beat most heavys today.

+1

I thought Wladimir was terrific and as sharp as ever tonight.

The difference is Wach can take the shots. Austin, Mormeck, Thompson can't.

I think Wach can beat Tyson Fury. A fight between Wach and David Price would be a good one and could go either way.

I have to admit that I was pleasantly suprised by Wach. He is one tough son of a bit**. He has a bright future.

The important thing is that Wlad continues on. He is such an amazing fighter. The best of all time. There should be very
little argument about Wlad or Vitali as their resume speaks for itself. Way to go Dr. Steelhammer.

Agreed on all points.

Some might feel disappointed that Wlad didnt KO Wach, but I think Wach proved to be very tough tonight. Wlad's attacks were precise and perfect. Wlad started very aggressively and caught Wach with many hard shots. Wach just is an extremely tough guy and was able to withstand punishment that a lot of other guys could not. There's a reason he's never been dropped as an amateur or pro.

Although he didn't get the stoppage, I was still very impressed with Wlad tonight.

I'm also now a Wach fan! He won me over tonight, very tough guy!

This fight was very similar to Martinez W 12 Chavez (minus the last round :p)!

I'd also like to state that Dan Raphael is truly a breath of fresh air. He's the fairest announcer out there and he always gives white fighters credit and especially the Klitschko brothers. He called Wladimir extremely athletic, which he is, but the anti-white will continue to mock him. I feel bad for Wach but I'm actually glad he wasn't knocked down or hurt badly.

I was watching the British feed, and I was happy to hear that I felt the commentators during the fight were being fair to Wlad. They complimented him on his power, speed, and marveled at his title reign and longevity. They were appreciating him as the alltime great he truly is.

That was nice to hear. I mean, you can only ignore a person's accomplishments for so long, and anyone with half a brain will see how great the K Brothers are.

Wlad looked good. Surprised by Wach's chin and toughness. If there is such a thing as a good loss. Wach got it.

Watching Helinius right now. He is trying to shake off the rust after a year of of inactivity. He is winning every round over a 40 year has been negro. Robert did get rocked in the 6 th round. Still winning every round but boring.

It seems that Robert is not following up with combinations.

BS2, just finished watching the replay. This is one of Wlad's great performances. His ring generalship, movement, athletism, jab, power shots, stamina, recupative powers after being buzzed in the 5th rd. Overall a great performance. No doubt. He was enjoying the moment and performance. A walk in the park with a cup of coffee!

Wach, gave courageous performance. All he has to do is perfect his jab and head movement. I see him beating most top 10 contenders. To Tyson Fury, this is how you want to look condition wise if you get to this level.
