Williams Sisters take a tumble

In the aftermath of Wimbledon, Venus Williams hasfallen in the women's rankings to number 23, whilesister Serena is now at number 140 after hardly playing so far this year because of a "knee injury."


This is another blow to the Caste System, though we can expect Venus and Serena to continue to receive wildly disproportionate media coverage whenever they play, along with continuing hype for half-black James Blake and other Great Black Hopes. Butthe reality is that the Williams girls were supposed to herald the takeover of tennis by blacks just as surely as Tiger Woods was going to be the sparkplug for a black takeover of golf. Well, here it is, roughly a decade later in both sports, and there isn't a single black golfer on the men's and women's tours other than partly-black Tiger, and tennis is once again totally white dominated.


How much longer will Caste System apologists be allowed to get away with the absurd (and patronizing) excuse that blacks would dominate any and every sport, but it just so happens that none of the 35 million of them in the U.S. are interested in anysports except football, basketball and sprinting?Edited by: Don Wassall

Well funny at the close of Wimbledon, Mary Carillo was stating during the women's final about the anticipated "comeback" of Serena at the US Open and tournaments prior to that event in the US. Shenay Perry and Gils Monfils (a black man living in France...he is not French in my book) are also being discussed as potential "up and comers" I hate how all of this is in your face by these commentators!! I agree the Williams sistas best days are behind them.

Good News, especially as it may silence their braggart father. I always thought that if Steffi hadn't retired early she would have beaten Venus inVenus' initial US Open victory (which I think was over one of the Belgians). That would have dampened the media campaign for Venus. Fact is,white women have rebounded from the initial surprise and intimidation factor associated with the William sisters, and they may finally be relegated to Zina Garrison status. The future belongs to Sharapova, Clijsters, etc.

White girls have gotten over "Williams shock" caused by the intimidating, freakishly muscular Williams sisters, esp. Serena. Martina Hingis is the best example of a player who was driveninto a premature retirementwhen the Williams'initially overwhelmed her traditional, feminine game and that of the rest of the field, to coming out of retirement and instantly being better than both Serena and Venus.

Didn't Martina show the way for PED usage in tennis. I don't recall Venus ever looking like Martina or Serena. Serena was downright scary looking, and Martina looked like a handsome man.......

I've noticed that a few of your threads recently have pegged white athletes as PED users, and have made a couple of excuses for black athletes, i.e. Gaitlin, Venus Williams.

What gives?

Do you think Landis is using test or other PEDs and Gaitlin isn't? Or that Serena and Martina used PEDs but the William's sisters did not?

I don't favour black athletes over white athletes and I don't show mercy for white drug cheats either. If I seemed like I was going out my way to criticize Landis over Gatlin that isn't true. Cycling for the most is an overwhelming white sport so who would I be discrediting(only white athletes or the occasional black or mestizo athlete). Gatlin is just as much of maggot as Landis(if Landis is guilty). Also the evidence against Gatlin is overwhelming because of the people surrounding Gatlin. Right now Landis isn't Armstrong but in the next few weeks we will see if there are people that come out against Landis like Armstrong. Ps Serena is a Williams sister and she definately looks like a drug abuser....

I saw one of the Williams sisters on a show about bad styles of clothing and she was on for a bad tennis outfit. Lord, she was scary looking. I really thought it was a black male prisoner in drag. If that is not a man ............well it was just scary.

The Williams sisters and their father are defendants in a multi-million dollar breach of contract suit that is now in the trial stage. Richard Williams is testifying repeatedly that he wasn't the girls' manager. What a crock. The trial is taking place in West Palm Beach. Maybe the defendants have one of those increasingly common black majority juries that won't find against a black under any circumstances for racial reasons.

If we assume Venus Williams is all natural, she�s done a pretty good job of adding body mass since 2007 Wimbledon. Workouts and proper nutrition, I suppose. Could be a natural filling out as one ages. Someone more expert than me would have to say which is more plausible. Commentators seem unaware of the physique change.
