His career in broadcasting may be over as fast as it began for speaking a forbidden truth.

Edit: The link for this story has disappeared from ChicagoSports.com where it originally appeared. Hmm, already consigned to the Memory Hole. Not surprising, considering what Perdue says here. A Google search finds that it now only exists on one site, a discussion board dominated by the usual anti-white whites.

Here's the article before it disappears completely:

Perdue claims broadcast bias

January 18, 2006, 9:33 PM CST

Will Perdue's NBA career ended in 2001. It took three years for the ex-Bull to land a job in broadcasting. Why?

"I'm not the proper color they're looking for, that's what I've been told," said ESPN radio's "NBA Game of the Week" analyst. "What's hot in broadcasting are ex-coaches and ex-black players. White males are way down on the list."

When Comcast SportsNet in Chicago was looking for a studio analyst for Bulls games, Stacey King got the job. When the Bulls needed a postseason analyst, Scottie Pippen got the gig. Perdue also sought a TNT studio job, but it went to Mark Jackson.

So Perdue started asking questions and said an intermediary told him: "I'm going to put it to you one way. You're not black."

I did a Google serach,and typed in:

Will Perdue "I'm not the proper color they're looking for" , and got
the article from "floridatoday.com . Not a printable version, however."

Wow! Alright Will. Was this on ESPN at all? Of course
it's true, they wouldn't have hushed it up so quickly if it
hadn't been.

I am glad of it to!

If ESPN ran anything about it, it would be to demonize Perdue. when the site that ran the original article pulled it that quickly it tells you something.

I've heard Will's radio stuff on Sunday's on ESPN radio, and it's pretty
insightful as far as that stuff goes.

For a guy who put in and got the max out of his ability to lose out a job
to a worthless basketball waste like Stacy King adds insult to injury.

Well, we know that's true. John Thompson and Paul Silas are both dreadfully boring. Especially the later, who always seems to stutter when he talks.Edited by: Deacon
