This years opening weekend will feature a couple of caste battles.

Boise State-Georgia and BYU-Ole'Miss. There is a link on the front page of this site to some in-depth discussion of the games at Stuff Black People Don't Like. The irony of nearly all white teams playing nearly all black teams of the SEC is tremendous. The teams of Ole' Miss and Georgia were once at the forefront of segregation and now are back at the forefront of new segregation. There is some interesting discussion on the games at that site.

To add some spice to the games are some comments below by Daniel Sorenson a safety for the Cougars. Dan did not get the memo that white people are never to speak of any kind of group whiteness. Even though he stuck to specifically allowed terms in describing white people (i.e. in only insulting fashion-"white boys"), I still expect him to get treated poorly for having the audacity to consider whiteness in any way shape or form.
(from the article)
Sorensen, who will be a starting safety, said the team had just talked earlier in the day about its goals from here on out.
Here's what he said:
"The purpose of BYU, why we're here and why we're playing – and where we're trying to go with this program. It kind of fires you up. It kind of gets you excited.
"To go out there and play for a specific purpose of showing people that we're playing for more than football. This is a faith-based university and we're trying to represent that. The players, and the flag bearers.

"What if we go out there and dominate (at Ole Miss, Sept. 3) and people start seeing us? And they put us on the map, and we're on ESPN. And they start wondering who these kids are – what are they doing with their lives, and why are they so good?
"And maybe a bunch of white boys out there go down and beat up on an SEC team, a big, physical team like (Ole Miss). If we go in there and dominate, what does that say? It starts raising questions and curiosity.

"It starts making things interesting. Getting the pot stirred, and what not. Shoot, that's fun. That's what we're out here to do. We're out here to turn heads. We're out here to change the norm of BYU and what people think of us.

"I would like to see people start fearing us. I don't know. Kind of looking at BYU as a dominant team. Especially the defense. Nobody is going to want to run against us. Start setting that respect.

"This is exciting. I can't wait to go down to Ole Miss."

I posted about this in the BYU thread and sent Don a message about it too. I don't know if that was before or after he put up the link to the SBPDL article. In any case, Sorensen's remarks I'm sure have been used as bulletin board material by Nutthugnwigger in Oxpatch. I hope BYU pummels them and shocks the partisan New Miss Conformist crowd. I'd like to be there in person to witness the gigantic caste overturn, but it wasn't in the cards this time around. I'd also like to be able to teleport myself from Oxford to Atlanta to see Boise whip Georgia's axe. My actual plans are to host CF's own Dixie Destroyer at my house to enjoy what will hopefully be en evening of caste busting football!

Georgia and Ole Miss were all-white until 1972 along with LSU. Those three were the last SEC teams to integrate. This Saturday's games are certainly ironic to a long-time SEC fan.

They are some really interesting games and interesting stories going on leading into them. I hope we see those SEC teams go 0-3 this weekend.

There's a good article by Paul Kersey on the blackness of college football and its consequences, particularly as it has affected the SEC, posted today on the CF homepage. Have a read, and write a comment, the new homepage continues to suffer from very few comments, which makes the entire site look bad.

I was planning on commenting myself & ran into the same problem. I assumed that my username & password would be the same that I used on the forum. What I did was register again on the home page...I used the same user name & password as I use on the forum page. I think this will work.

I did exactly that. It still didn't work. I was going to reply to the post about Keith Lincoln. I'll make a post on Lincoln sometime on the Forum.
