Michael Fine, a 6-4 wideout with 4.55 speed from Springdale Har-Ber (AR),should get offered by a Division I program. he's been drawing a lot of interest after a big junior year, where he averaged over 26 yards-per-catch (34 catches, 897 yards) and had 12 touchdowns.
but, of course, it's the same every year in Arkansas ... Fine and Varady (mentioned up the page a bit) are not unusual, in that Arkansas high schools produce numerous ideal prospects at wideout each year ... except they're White. and hence, they don't get scholarship offers. for example, Varady is very nearly a clone to
Michael Heintzman, who played for the same high school (Fayetteville, AR class of 2010). Heintzman put up HUGE numbers both on the field and at various combines, yet went completely un-recruited. he ended up walking on at Arkansas and hasn't been heard from since.
hopefully the same won't be said of the talented White wideouts in Arkansas this year.
