Black fans and black athletes seem to think running back and cornerback are "their" positions, along with (to a lesser extent) wide receiver, defensive lineman, and safety.
I disagree with this assessment obviously. There are plenty of talented white guys who play these positions, and plenty more who don't get the chance to do so, or get the shaft after one bad game. But at the same time, in principle I wouldn't really mind, and in fact I could come to respect it, if certain positions on the football field were black-only, if black people could respect that certain positions should be white-only. Namely, quarterback, tight end, offensive line, kicker, etc. Why do black people think certain positions should be black-only but yet they clamor behind any black athlete who shows any promise at all at a historically white position? It seems like if they had their way, white people wouldn't have anything to do with football except being kickers, punters, and water boys. How come white people are content to share the football field, but blacks aren't? I wish all of White America would wake up tomorrow with a chip on their shoulders that would never go away.
