Didn't watch it.Could have, but just was not interested.Instead, dida few sets of incline bench presses, side laterals, dips, curls, andsome rows. That'll probably do memore good.

No because I didn't watch it. I'm fed too many lies on a daily basis as it is. No way am I going to devote a whole evening to watching those two.

Saw the VP debate but missed the presidential. A debate which I would have much rather watched would have been between Ralph Nader, Chuck Baldwin, Bob Barr and Cynthia McKinney. They would have discussed "real" issues instead of pointing fingers, talking about being mavericks and battling for the numero uno lover of Israel.

Even though they don't know the questions ahead of time they know pretty much what they'll be because none that are not within a very narrow, pro-"mainstream" perspective are going to be asked. And no matter what's asked they immediately steer it toward their pre-rehearsed talking points. And then tell us over and over again about their "fundamental differences." Please.

Freethinker is right, if there was any intent of presenting real differences Baldwin, Nader, Barr and McKinney would have been included. But they must remain marginalized. When Congress's approval rating is 9 percent and that of Bush and Cheney almost as low, thegameplanis to preserve the status quo at all costs.

Both of these people (and their handlers/cliques/advisors)repulse me. It will anger me to see either of them "win" the debate.

Two phony "opponents" handpicked by the establishment and given a blessing by "the people".

The winner of the debate will be whomever the media decides it's in its best interest to claim won the debate.

Which means the usual conservative outlets will claim McCain won, and everyone else will say Obama won.

Personally I'd much rather see them fight.

Obama can have the satisfaction of punching Fred Mertz, and McCain can relish uppercutting Steve Urkel.

I would love, incidentally, for Sarah Palin to slap Tina Fey until the latter became funny. We can harness the energy from her effort to power an ICBM to launch at North Korea. They hate us, too.

i didn't bother to watch this "debate." how much can they alter their lies from their last one, a week or so ago?

meanwhile, this election cycle i keep being reminded of the book "Animal Farm."

the pigs in our political offices keep changing the rules on the side of the barn, but just like in the book, no one calls them on it.

I watched 30 seconds of the debate and then did an internet searchon prices to relocate to Australia. This country is going through one of those "end of the empire" things that happen throughout history. From what I've read in the history books, it's never pretty.

Who cares who won! John Kerry won all the debates in 2004. Fat lot of good it did him.
Who wins on election day is all that matters. Now back to sports.

The word is that Sarah Palin will be on SNL this weekend and I bet that show gets the hugest ratings ever. Tina Fey actually dislikes this woman from the comments she has made recently and so this show could be very interesting. I am a big fan of Palin and the hatchet job the press has done on her has been nothing short of amazing, but she is still popular with much of the heartland and I hope she gets rid of all her handlers and does the things that got her a 80% approval rating in Alaska in the coming weeks.Edited by: guest301

I am with you Guest301. Sara is a God send to Repubs.

I know many here don't think there is a difference between Dems and Repubs, but here is one thing to consider. McCain doesn't want to overtax you or your hard working successful small businesses as BO does.

One of the main reasons I don't want BO to win, is that I want welfare, entitlements to decrease not increase. If BO is elected, trust me you will dig deeper into your pocket to finance Keyshawn and Wanda with their pathetic lives.

In the words of Barack, "Its time to spread the wealth around." In my words, No Way, No How and Nobama!

It's amazing and funny because whenever I hear these two morons talk, I truly wonder if they believe half of whatever they say. To me the fix is in for whoever win this thing.

I think many here see the difference between Republicans and Democrats but often times there is not enough of a difference particulary on the bailout where both parties basically wanted to do the same thing. The distinctions between the parties used to be much clearer especially back in the day of Ronald Reagan. I will be pulling the lever for McCain/Palin and am actively campaigning in my church, workplace, neighborhood and town for others to do so, especially because how Ohio goes, goes the nation. Barack Obama will be a unmitigated disaster as a president and with the media protecting him for the next eight years and extolling his non-existent virtues we will quickly become a socialist country and pathetically weak in the eyes of our enemies. We are already on that path to some degree, Obama drastically speeds up the process. NoBama!

There is not one shred of difference between republicans and democrats. As far as I'm concerned none of them speaks for the white working class or for white people in general. The only difference I see is that the Republican party pretends to be for white people when in fact they and their corporate buddies have done more damage to the white race. The Republican party is more or less the strong arm of all these transnational corporations that have waged war against the white working class. So please I urge everybody here not tovote. You're just supporting a system that tells all of us to bend over while they stick a gigantic stick up our asses. Only the stick is not coming out.&n bsp;&n bsp;

So what do you want us to do, Darthvader? Come over and join the dark side of the force! Just kidding and no offence.
I disagree with your post that there are no differences between the parties. True conservative Republicans have differences with Democrats on a wide range of issues such as taxes, eminent domain, entitlement programs, deregulation, immigration, defence spending, abortion, same sex marriages, death penalty, affirmative action, states rights and vouchers/Charter schools. There are still some true conservatives in the House of Representatives and they deserve my vote and hopefully some here at CF.Edited by: guest301

There are some good Republicans (Ron Paul?) and no good Democrats, presidenial races usually have a coattail effect so guest301 is right in that a vote for McCain is a marginally better vote then none. That only applies in states where the outcome is in doubt. In my state a vote for McCain will accomplish nothing other then take one from the Libertarian or Constitutional Party who deserve it more.

Actually, unless you guys are all making more than $250,000 a year, the Tax Policy Center has analyzed both McCain and Obama's tax policies, and concluded that Obama's tax plan will offer more of a tax break to the lower and middle class than McCain's.

However, I don't believe that Obama will actually cut taxes at all but that's just me. The rhetoric will sound something like 'Due to the fiscal irresponsibility of previous administration, we cannot afford to cut taxes at this time. I call upon al my fellow Americans to aid me in my effort to erase the deficit and balance the budget, and support my plan to increase taxes by 50%. Thank you."

I like Sen.Zell Miller. He was the one Democrat who was never PC about anything and always spoke his mind. I liked Democratic congressman James Traficant as well. Unfortunately he's in prison on largely trumped up and overblown charges right now, I hope he is due for release soon. There are hundreds of other congressman who have done far worse things and they are walking around free men.

How can taxes go down under either monopoly party when the government is busy passing schemes that will be well into the trillions of dollars to bail out corporate criminals? Not to mention that the rest of the Empire's ravenous appetite must continue to be fed. Taxes will go up, it's only a matter of how much our rulers think the sheeple will put up with.

One good thing that should happen though is that the Imperial Empire will be forced to cut back on military spending and wars of aggression against helpless Third World countries. And if he wins, many of Obama's socialist plans will also fall victim to the ongoing "crisis of casino capitalism."
