Houston has three White starting LBs -- Cushing, Barwin and Reed -- along with Watt on the line. Starting tackle Shaun Cody (mixture of White and Mexican) is injured, possibly for the season, which may open up some playing time for rookie Jared Crick. There are also some White backups on D, but all the safeties are black. Apparently Houston has "compensated" for its White talent on defense by going sumo on the o-line, so as not to violate the NFL's unwritten yet rigidly enforced rule over the past 30 years against having a White majority as starters or on the roster as a whole. Houston had three Whites starting on the o-line last year, as discussed in the Texans forum, and if they stumble this season the switch to a sumo line will be the likely culprit.

I don't know if the Texans made a concerted effort to resign Briesel or Winston in the off season. Very irritating, also unfortunate is that there don't look to be any white backups waiting in the wings to take over on the Texan o-line. We'll see how many white backups make it but it won't be many I think.

Derek Landri will likely start this season for the Eagles and this article states he's been fighting (fists) like crazy this summer. It's gotten to the point were blacks on the team fears him (which is good news), after he roughed up mulatto tight end Clay Harbor....Harbor, knowing he was in too deep, simply ran away from the fight. Too bad his mudshark (a tall college basketball player) didn't rush in to help her pride-less, wimpy Uncle Tom?
