Just a heads up people.

Montreal native RB Eric Lapointe will start in this Sunday's Grey Cup (CFL Championship) for his Hometown Alouettes after coming off a big game in the Eastern conference finals where he had 100+ yards and 3 TD's despite playing mainly in the second half.

Lapointe has been around the CFL for about five or six years now and is generally considered starter quality. However since he's injured so frequently (He just plays so damn hard) The Als usually bring in an American RB for Lapointe to 'rotate with'. Lapointe still a big star in Quebec but he's never got any real respect in English Canada.

One last note all those CIS Rushing records that Jesse Lumsden broke used to belong to Eric Lapointe.

It's been a big year for Canadian Running backs (Mostly White) in the CFL this year and Josh Ranek didn't do too bad himself. I'll try and give a full report in a few days once my Grey Cup hangover clears.

Eric Lapointe have a BIG game the last week vs toronto...But all the season he was second because the number one is Robert Edwards..You Know this guys?!?..In rookie season in patriots he runs for 1000+yards..but at the probowl he was playing falg football and he desctruc his knee..after a couple of bad come back in nfl he go at mtl for pick the number one to eric lapointe..

its sad but robert edwards its a great person..he is a power runner whit a great speed...then eric lapointe is a athletical runner whit a excellent speed..

Make no mistake I like Robert Edwards. Coming back to pro football after what for 99% of pro athletes would have been a career-ending injury shows nothing but balls... and two big brass ones at that. Hell the doctors didn't even think he was going to walk again!

Eric Lapointe was awesome!!! They lost, but Lapointe's performance still could change people's perception of white running backs. I think this shows people that whites can run the ball.

What was with that last second punt? In the CFL are punts live?

In Canadian Football any player can punt at any time (even accidently) Any player on the kicking team that is onside (behind the kicker at the time of the kick,)can recover. The kicker can also recover their own kick.

Still desperation Quick Kicks like that are rare enough that you maybe see one a season.

Quick Kicks are one thing, but you also have the Single Point or The Rouge. The dumbest rule in football.
