Welcome to "Which Player Would You Rather Have?."

The purpose of this thread is to compare white players with non-white players and to illustrate how white players are often discriminated against.

Here are the workout numbers of two defensive backs.

---Ht----Wt--40---20---10---225-VJ---BJ---20ss--3C

A. 5080 184 4.47 2.59 1.59 14 37.5 1004 4.40 7.26

B. 5080 203 4.45 2.55 1.52 24 38.0 1004 4.04 6.46

Based on these measurables which player would you rather have?

Player A is Lamarcus Joyner, who played in Division I and was drafted by the St Louis Rams in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft.

Player B is Lane Olson who was not offered a Division I scholarship and went undrafted in 2011. He currently is not with any NFL team.

Which one is a better athlete? Which one got a fair chance and which one didn't?

Joyner is black. Olson is white.

Great idea for a thread, but it would be helpful to also give their position as not all readers are familiar with Joyner and Olsen.

It's also imperative to compare production/skills if the intent is to convince DWFs. The NFL (and college ball) is rife with players who have excellent measurables but stink as players.

One of the purposes of this thread is to show how badly white people are discriminated against, particularly in the college and pro ranks.

Comparing skills and production is important. Unfortunately, because of anti-white discrimination, many white players are never given the opportunity to develop or to show what they can do. This makes it difficult to compare potential skills and production. If you're not allowed to play how can you develop skills or produce?

Many whites aren't given the opportunity to play at Division 1 schools or at certain positions because they're white.

Take the case of Lane Olson, mentioned in post #2. Olson is an elite athlete. Yet he ended up playing linebacker at a Division 2 school instead of cornerback at a Division 1 school, which is where he should have been playing.

If Olson had been black he would have been playing Division 1 ball as a cornerback and would have had a real chance at an NFL career. Lamarcus Joyner, who isn't as good of an athlete as Olson, got opportunities because he's black. Lane Olson was denied opportunities because he's white.

Here are the workout numbers of two inside linebackers.

---Ht----Wt--40---20---10---225-VJ---BJ---20ss--3C

A. 6020 234 4.63 2.70 1.56 15 35.0 0910 4.40 7.30

B. 6006 235 4.60 2.69 1.60 25 37.0 0909 4.28 6.74

Player A had 108 tackles at a Division 1A school. Player B had 125 tackles at a Division 1AA school.

Player A has a history of injuries. Player B does not.

Based on this information which player would you rather have?

Player A is CJ Mosley, who was drafted in the 1st round of the 2014 NFL draft. Player B is Brock Coyle, who went undrafted in the 2014 draft.

Athletically both prospects are about equal except that Coyle is significantly quicker and more agile. Coyle was more productive but at a somewhat lower level of play.

Is there that much of a difference between these two prospects that one should go in the 1st round and the other should go undrafted? Or is it because Mosley is black and Coyle is white?

Here are the workout numbers of two wide receivers.

---Ht----Wt--40---20---10---225-VJ---BJ---20ss--3C

A. 5114 205 4.61 2.69 1.58 12 31.5 0905 4.59 7.56

B. 6027 219 4.37 2.48 1.51 20 37.5 1003 3.98 6.64

Player A: 77 receptions, 1193 yards, 15.4 average, 10 TDs at a Division 1 school.

Player B: 83 receptions, 1572 yards, 18.9 average, 14 TDs at a Division 2 school.

Which player would you rather have?

I'd take player B, even though he played at a Division 2 school. His athleticism is elite and he had good production.

Player A is way below average athletically.

Player A is Jarvis Landry, who was taken in the 2nd round by the Miami Dolphins. The pick was praised by some pundits.

Player B is Jeff Janis who was taken in the 7th round by the Green Bay Packers.

Landry is black. Janis is white.

With his athleticism, Janis should have been drafted higher than the 7th round. He would have been if he was black.

Also, why was a player with Janis's elite athleticism not playing for a Division 1 school? Was it because he wasn't offered a scholarship because he's white?

If you were a Steelers fan who would you rather have as a backup quarterback, Landry Jones or Tajh Boyd?

Me, I'd take Jones, hands down.

Joyner is a defensive back who plays both cornerback and safety.

Olsen was a linebacker who would have projected as a defensive back, cornerback or safety, in the pros. Olsen played both safety and wide receiver in a European league.

Who would you rather have?

Ryan Tannehill or Cam Newton?

Mike Glennon or Geno Smith?

Andrew Luck or Russell Wilson?

Nick Foles or Michael Vick?

Kirk Cousins or Robert Griffin?

In each case I would take the white player.

Yes, most of those are no brainers. Tannehill / Newton and Luck / Wilson are at least debatable but any fair analysis would rule in favor of the White men.

Kirk Cousins or Robert Griffin?

To me, because they're direct competitors, this is the most compelling of your match-ups.
Looked at last season's stats, they were virtually even in passer rating (both at 86 & change). Neither were winning games. So 2014 was a push in my mind. That said, I believe Cousins has the longer, brighter future because his primary flaw is too many turnovers, typical for a young QB. Other than that Cousins' game is tight, and he appears to be more durable.
I watched a rerun of the Skins-Lions game, R.G. Knee was a piñata from the jump, already showing frailty in early preseason. His strength as a scrambler seems faded, and I'll throw in McCoy, who showed some wheels a couple times in the game (including a nice run to just short of the goal line).

Griffin's on-field availability/durability is less than Cousins, and for me it looks like his scrambling prowess at this stage is not any better than McCoys.. he's becoming neutralized as their #1 QB. It's cold how quick NFL quarterbacks are given up on now.. but Washington has options equal to in skill, and more reliable than Griffin now.

The Bills could have had either one this year.

Yeah sure, Foles won the NFC championship game for his team, but what about mouth-watering upside? Room-brightening smile? Wiggle? Burst? Dat wrist flick? Cannon arm? The potential to be Barry Sanders, Marcus Allen, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Joe Montana all rolled into one? Only Tyrod (or name your favorite black quarterback) has that ability!!

Who would you rather have? Case Keenum or Robert Griffin (RGIII)?

Both came out in the 2012 draft.
