what kind of music do you guys like?

Country music mostly.

Waylon Jennings, Cash, Paycheck, Hank Williams 1, 2, 3. Patsy Cline, Porter Wagoner, Brooks & Dunn, Etc. etc.

80's like Motley Crue, GNR, Van Halen, Quiet Riot, Def Leppard, etc.

Rock like Lynard Skynard, ZZ Top, all the way to old Elvis.

Bluegrass & some classical even. Anything but rap & hip hop & not too much blues or Jazz.

I like the old southern rock. Allman Brothers, Lynard Skynard, Marshall Tucker. As for counrty, Waylon Jennings is great. My wife likes the Chilli Peppers, and I can get into alot of their stuff too. Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ Top, 3 Doors Down, Led Zeplin, and AC/DC are all very good in my opinion a well.

AC/DC, 80s, all kinds of old punk stuff, and old metal when I'm in the mood.

I'll usually listen to talk radio or news radio to/from work, and my kid's CDs (Bible Sing-Alongs, Alvin & Chipmunks, etc.) when we're all riding somewhere (Church, etc.). As far as my favorite music genres, I'd say...

1) Traditional Christian Hymns (Old Rugged Cross, Rock of Ages, etc.)
2) Southern Gospel (old time quartet)
3) Traditional Country (Hank Sr, George Jones, Waylon, Merle)
4) Traditional Bluegrass (Flatt & Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Stanley Brothers).
5) Southern Rock (Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet, BOA, etc.)
6) Hard Rock (Ted Nugent, AC/DC, etc)
7) Old School Metal (Iron Maiden, Dio, etc.)
8) Thrash Metal (Slayer, Pantera, etc.)....especially at the gym & training BJJ.

I hate rap(=crap), techno, "bubblegum" pop, "contemporary" R&B & other assorted racket.

DWFan, do you ever listen to GBH (old school punk)? My buddy (growing up) used to love those mugs. Edited by: DixieDestroyer

As a younger member i like some new rock bands Shinedown, Theory of a Deadman, Nickelback, Hollywood Undead, Papa Roach, and Seether(from South Africa). I also jam out with my dad to some Van Halen and some of his era of rock anytime!I also like Tim McGraw and Toby Keith quite a bit and love Alan Jackson's "country boy". I don't affiliate myself to one type of music i can be pretty open as long as it has a catchy tune. I'll admit i still listen to some hip hop (Eminem)

Yeah, DD, I used to listen to GBH all the time, though it was more because my friends liked it than I did. "City Baby" will be stuck in my head forever. I thought "Generals" was their best song.

I hate all music. From classical to jazz to rock to rap, it's all garbage. Anyone that listens to music is a homo. It's no coincidence that most musicians are queer. A man should have better things to do with his time then listen to the noise some freak makes with an instrument or even worse pay attention to the words some weirdo yells out.

Gee, there's got to be some form of music to bring Jaxvid around.

Thanks for posting that video, Quiet Speed! One of my favorite songs, but I haven't heard it in years.

I think I'm going to fall out of my chair laughing. Sure caught me off-gaurd.

That quote deserves to be framed or bronzed and put up in a plaque somewhere.

All kinds but mainly dinosaur rock

Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, REM, Nirvana, Metallica, and techno. Too much to list.

I like everything from Pantera to Steve Winwood to Wayman Tisdale (jazz). However, I loathe country with a passion. Its more vocal based music, more about the words, than the actual playing of instruments/improvisation. Also RAP = CRAP.

Tisdale just passed away not along ago. I heard one of his songs eating at Subway last summer, he was decent on the bass. My favorite bass guitarists are Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), Stu Hamm (Joe Satriani) & Rex Brown (Pantera, Down). 10-4 on Rap=Crap=Rap!

Dixie! have you heard of Chicken Foot? Satriani plays bass for them, Sammy Hagar on the vocals and 2 other fairly famous musicians make up the rest of the band.

CelticDB15, yessiree! Their lineup consists of Sammy Hagar on lead vocals, Satch on guitar, Michael Anthony (Van Halen) on bass, & Chad Smith (RedHot Chili Peppers) on the drums. Alotta talent in that outfit...

ChickenFoot - "Oh Yeh"

My favorite "supergroup" is Rebel Meets Rebel...with David Allan Coe, Dimebag Darrell (RIP), Vinnie Paul & Rex Brown from Pantera. Bad@$$ mix/fusion of country, southern rock & metal...Get'cha pull!

Rebel Meets Rebel - "Get Outta My Life"

I go out to clubs a lot to try and meet some girls, and i love it when they play gangster rap.

Why? because its black guys "singing" about shooting other black guys. I love it.

I especially like to sing along when the N word pops up in the lyrics, in a very loud voice.

I mean where else can you sing along to a song about killing blacks and using the N word in public these days?

I get a few stares when i do this, people are like " Oh my god, did that white guy actually shout the N word out loud" :)

Good times

I don't listen to as much music as I used to, but I like traditional gospel, bluegrass, oldies/classic rock/rockabilly, and some old country.

White Shogun, that is a GREAT song. it's been a favorite of mine for the last six months or so.

i personally listen to every genre of music except rap and hip hop. if it's good, i'll listen to it, but my favorite genre is swing. that stuff just puts me in a good mood.

Jaxvid, seriously man!

here's a song even you will enjoy, i think. Rocking the Beer Gut. if that doesn't put a smile on your face, i don't know what to say.
