What the hellis wrong with white guys? Every time I talk about Dirk Nowitzki to white guys around where I live or on the net they all trash him saying hes overated and a few has even said he only won the MVP because hes white.

These people you mentioned do this because they are brainwashed by the system. They have been manipulated into beleiving that the only reason Dirk Nowitzki is in the NBA is because he's White, when in reality, its because he's just one of the best basketball players in the world.

I encounter idiots like the guys you mentioned everyday. They are the same people who panic when their favorite football team's starting black running back isn't going to play because he is injured. "Oh no, what are we going to do? Tyrophus Jackson isn't playing! Lord, help us!!!" They really do believe that if blacky doesn't show up, then their team is automatically doomed. These are also the same idiots who think the system is being too hard on Michael Vick for torturing and killing defenseless animals in a dog-fighting ring. Apparently, to them, his presence on the field is more important that the lives of God's creatures who were no doubt killed and tortured in the worst of ways.

Yes I heard the same type things in regards to Michael Vick. Two white guys told me that if Vick would have been a white man he wouldn't have even been investigated. I also read the same sort of stuff on sports message boards.

Right, right.. that's why they lump white athletes arrested for Boating While Intoxicated in with black athletes who have been convicted of spousal abuse, assault, drug crimes, etc...

I noticed that same trend, Shogun. The basic formula for the media regarding pro athletes breaking the law goes something like this:


If he's black, try to make him look like the "victim".

If he's White, demonize and incriminate him until he apologizes publically.

If I remember correctly (and I might not) even the local district attorney tried to say that Vick was being persecuted for his skin color. Though I think he was black, it's still indicative of the general tenor of white public conversation that he could get away with saying that and still have a job.

I don't watch basketball, but it just takes five minutes of conversation with a white guy in a Vick jersey to verify what the OP said. Anti-caste jargon--"drunk white fan" in this case--is comprised of words that can be immediately related to states existing in a real world. Pro-caste jargon could take years of sustained attention (or the benefit of finding others' collective attention, like CF provides) before it's understood to be dissimulation.

Steve Nash is another guy who everyone says is overrated. Even though he leads the league in assists year after year and puts up close to 20 points a game he gets no credit. To me he's like the John Stockton of this decade. Stockton was better though. He could pick anyones pocket and was just a fantastic passer.Edited by: whiteathlete33
