Because white/cauasian/europoid people have light skin, a lot of white people think when they hear the term white people only about white skin.
But we are not only skin colour also feautures, we have a lot of accompliced espacially in the past and we have culture in common.
BTW their are a lot of northen chinese and other east asians with lighter skin then a lot of white and they aren't white, right?
And i don't like the term Latino even less.It is separating our race.we have good diversity with a bit skin colour differences and a lot hair and eye colours.A lot of whites see white latino's that are a bit dark whites( i noticed that espcially mestizo's and dark whites are seen as latino, when you're nordic white often not seen as one).IN europe espacially in Holland they take things over from Americans, now you hear the term latino here too.Dark whites see people that look like them and are given the name Latino. I know their are nordic looking white in south america too but they are often not seen as latino just as blacks are not.When someone is a white with dark hair eyes or mixed looking( espacially mestizo) then they say all the time the latino blah blah blah.
A lot of whites from american continent or even some white from Europe( that look a lot at american tv that they can see here) see for example maybe the greatest soccer player Messi as non white.It's ok when people see him as latino but not when they think that when you're a latino you can't be white.
So i don't like when white latinos are seen as non white and that some people think only about white people as light skin.And that some people say you're really white when you have very light sin and or light eyes and hair( im glad most people don't) and say youre really whiteIagree that you're more the opposite of a black or a south east asian but it doesn't mean youre more white than a white with naturally borwn skin, dark hair( like my brother)But even I, althrough i need some sun am lot darker than let say Jeremiah wright, but he maybe have a lot of admixture from very light whites.'black' people
are even seen as black when they are mostly white in their genes but full blooded white latinos are not seen as white, espaciallly if they are not nordic looking like most white europeans.
