West Virginia assault, torture, and rape

I'm sure by now most of you have heard about the young black woman who was kidnapped, raped, beaten, etc. for a week by six white yokels inWest Virginia.. Fortunately, she survived. The crime is most certainly heinous and if proven guilty, the perps should be punished accordingly. But when I noticed this story on the MSN homepage and on NBC nightly news the Knoxville murders of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome naturally came to mind. I mean can there be a more glaring example of media hypocrisy than to have virtually the exact same crime (with races reversed) as a headlining news story (which it should be) while the Knoxville murders are still largely unknown by the public at large? Has anyone in the media had the balls yet to take this perfect opportunity to broach the subject?

That's exactly what I was thinking. There have been so many hoaxes going back to Tawana Brawley and earlier, but the media will play this up and assume all the accusations and racial implications are true without questioning any of the alleged details. Edited by: Don Wassall

At his View From the Right site, Lawrence Auster doesn't think this will be played up that much. He thinks the media needs a Rich White Criminal for the "Great White Defendant" role.

Whats terrible also is that the media creates a false consciousness among all people that in general its whites doing the majority of the interracial crime, when we all (on this site anyway) know that black on white crime is much, much more prevalent.

It is a sad situation that, due to past and recent hoaxes, one has to wonder if this is not just another one. It would be nice to know that, when charges such as these are made, they are true. Of course, it would hurt to know that there are such white scumbags, but we do know that they, unfortunately, do exist.
