I hope NC doesn't back down. At least the Governor called out the NBA on their PC pandering.
I remember thinking about ten years ago that, eventually, political correctness would cannibalize those that support it. Case in point....
From a member of Alliance Defending Freedom's legal counsel regarding the NBA's decision:
“If the NBA actually believed that there is no difference between men and women, it would merge its two leagues. Twenty years ago, the NBA recognized the innate and obvious biological differences between men and women when it created the WNBA. Today, the NBA hopes no one notices that it properly maintains separate leagues for men and women while it opposes the commonsense law that simply protected the dignity interests and privacy rights of North Carolinians,” Fiedorek said.

The NBA has announced it is moving its 2017 all-star event out of Charlotte, North Carolina, because of that state's law protecting women and children in public restroons and in the course of doing so has earned the dubious honor of being called “unreasonable and hypocritical.”
“The NBA has abandoned common sense and put politics ahead of principle,” said Kellie Fiedorek, legal counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom late Thursday.
“The North Carolina privacy law, which protects girls and women from being forced to share locker rooms and showers with men, is completely reasonable. Pulling the 2017 all-star game from Charlotte is unreasonable and hypocritical.”
At issue is the league’s politically correct intolerance for HB2, the state’s new law that essentially requires people to use the public restroom or shower room in facilities that have them of their corresponding physical gender.
Unless they have the appropriate treatments and surgeries and have their gender changed on their state records.
That means, those who allege they are “transgender,” such as men who dress in women’s clothing and say they are women, are not allowed in women’s showers.
That very action is part of Barack Obama’s newest sexual agenda campaign – demanding that states, schools, colleges – just about everyone – adopt the belief that males should be allowed to shower with women and little girls, and women should be allowed to shower with men and little boys, if they say they are of the opposite gender.
But how is the NBA hypocritical?
