I thought it was pretty cool to see Wes Welker put moves on the black players, and seeing them slip and fall. I thought white guys hips were not loose enough for that

It was cool. On one short dump pass he should have been nailed for a loss, but he put a nifty move on the black defenderand left him grasping at airas Wes sped down the sidelines.Madden didn't seem to notice the play as he said nothing about it whatsoever, but instead gushed about how Daunte held his ground to make the play possible. . Replays showed a man advancing toward him, but Daunte moved aside and the guy didn't even lay a finger on him. You would have thought he was hammered to the ground in the act of throwing.

After Welker took over the game in the second quarter something changed. We won't know if it was the coaches' decision, or Culpepper's, or a Steeler adjustment but Welker wasn't involved in the second half offensively. Joey Porter and Troy Polamalu caught passes from Culpepper but not Welker. The only passes I saw to him were when the game was decided. The interception was very late in the 4th quarter (less than 3 minutes to play). And Miami's last offensive pass with 4th and 25 was to Welker. I was flipping back and forth to the Boise St. game and didn't see any others, but Booker, Chambers, and McMichael became more involved.Edited by: Triad

You're right Backrow. I shouldn't have said "stop," I should have said something like, "not keep utilizing Welker as nearly as often as he did in the first half."
As Triad pointed out, it could've been a Pittsburg adjustment, Culpepper's decision or a coaching decision. I was a little emotional as I watched it cause I thought Welker was on track for a career game.

it was probably a little bit of all three factors you and Triad mention... even though Welker fell 30 yards short of his career game, his overall performance was by far the best on his team.

Hmmm looks like Wes had the surgery during the offseason.
