Running back Brandon Wegher to Iowa
Touted running back Brandon Wegher of Bishop Heelan (Sioux City, Iowa) has committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes over Nebraska and Kansas.
Among other offers for Wegher are Penn State, Illinois, Arkansas, Auburn, Iowa State, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas Tech, Wisconsin and Arizona.

"The University of Iowa has been in the picture (recruiting) since I was a sophomore,'" said Wegher, according to the Sioux City Journal. "I'm excited about joining Hawkeye Nation.
"My family met Wednesday night and narrowed the schools to three and I told my father today (Saturday) that Iowa was my choice."

This kid will be a star at Iowa and could win the heisman. If given enough carries he could wind up with 2000 yards. Yes he is that good and that talented to garner heisman consideration if given the oppurtunity to show his skills and be the featured back at Iowa.

do you think he will get a good shot at the hb position? or will he get the shaft and moved to safety?

I haven't a clue what will happen, johnnyboy. Iowa, lately anyways, plays white RBs at FB or converts them to other positions. Maybe Brandon will get a real shot at RB though. Only time will tell.
