stumbled across a BYU slide show from their win over Wyoming, and though it took a little work in photoshop, i thought i'd help out the fine Colonel with some photo action.

Go Cougars. I love this team. I want them to challenge for a BCS Game to shut up all the skeptics. The Mountain West is outplaying the Pac Ten Conf. this year. They have some really good teams. BYU has the potential to win the national championship. I wish I lived there so I could see a few games live. At least we have Col.Reb and his wife to be their biggest cheerleaders.

Thanks for the pics Jimmy!

whitelightning, the way BYU is playing, they could end up in a BCS game, and maybe not just a BCS game like Boise State got against Oklahoma. This team is good. They still have 3 tests left, IMHO, in Texas Christian, Air Force, and Utah. How they do against those teams will saysomething about how they would do against a BCS team in a big bowl game. They are off this week and play at Utah State next week. I almost wish I could drive the 2 1/2hours up there to see possibly a third consecutive shut out.

Hey Jimmy, I just noticed something by looking at those Austin Collie pics. He's wearing a kicker's facemask for better vision, just like WR Ted Ginn Jr. did, so thanks for posting them!

Looks like its time to pull out the old equipment thread again for some photos!

I agree Sean. Great pictures! Its awesome to be able to see those men play in person. I really hope they can shake up the BCS this year.

I think they've got the personel to run the table and get a big BCS bowl this year. It definately would be good to see this white team get a big bowl game!

they sure look awfully good, i must admit.

"funny" how so many white kids from such a small recruiting pool (most are of mormon background) can be so gifted, yet the white population throughout most of the country is completely ignored. actually, it isn't funny at all.

just imagine if, say, an SEC school started targeting the white talent in the South. how incredibly tough to beat would they be?!? yet lower-level teams like Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Kentucky, South Carolina, Arkansas, even Vanderbilt and so on often pursue third and fourth tier blacks instead of superior white kids. and their drunken white fans never figure out why "their" teams always suck.

also, i like the pic of the high-flying interception: "Athleticism." that is Jordan Pendleton, a highly touted young defensive back from the state of Utah. i'd like to hear more news about him, because he was the best player in the state as a senior. i'm wondering why he doesn't get more playing time as physically gifted as he is.

Jimmy, Jordan Pendleton redshirted last year and saw his first on the field action against Wyoming. He has bulked up about25 pounds or so since high school, where he wasWR and S. Jordan's father Kirk was a WR at BYU in the early 80s. During the second week of August, Jordan was in a three way battle for the number four safety spot with a couple of true freshmen. I can only guess that he came out on the short end of that battle. In late July, the Salt Lake Tribune projected him to be the second string SS. He had a decent debut against Wyoming, getting 2 tackles and an INT in limited playing time, so maybe he can work himself into a position to where he gets more PT. One factor we should keep in mind during all of this is that BYU's defensive coordinator is now black, Jaime Hill. Edited by: Colonel_Reb
