RUNNINGBACKS:

Mike Alstott FB Bucs: 6 carries for team high 26 yards (4.3 ypc) and 1 huge TD run on 3rd and 1, went for 14 yards! also had a 4 yard reception... seems like ego maniac Gruden understands what he means to this offense.

Brad Hoover FB Panthers: 1 catch for 8 yards

Heath Evans FB Patriots: 8 carries (!) for 24 yards, his average would be better had it not been for one run for a loss of 7, i don't know what was that all about; ha also had 1 catch for 4 yards

Mike Karney FB Saints: 1 carry for 6 yards

John Kuhn RB Steelers: 1 carry for 2 yards and 1 catch for 15 yards

With TEs Ben Watson and Daniel Graham questionable (Graham has been questionable all season), the Patriots just signed O. J. Santiago, a washed up journeyman. Healready is nowalso questionable for Sunday.

Man, these black players get hurt easily.

I would have liked to have seen the roles of David Thomas and Garrett Mills stepped up instead. Thomas will probably play more now out of necessity, but Mills has been a forgotten man. Seemed to me he came out of college NFL ready. He should be playing.

yeah, the players that don't usually start i will put on as the week goes along and they actually play. it is not a list of all white layers in the league at these positions, just the ones that played recently and have a good chance of playing in week 15Edited by: backrow

Did you catch Cris Collinsworth's excuse for all the balls being dropped in the rain in Seattle? He said it was caused by "slimy arms"!
smiley36.gif

Expect it to soon be a full-blown medical condition used to explain why most black "professional receivers" have hands worse than those of white great-grandmothers -- Slimy Arm Syndrome.

RUNNINGBACKS: John Kuhn RB Steelers:

I find this to be suspicious...one of the blacker teams in pro football actually list a White player as a RB and not a FB on their roster. Has Mr. Caste System himself, Bill Cowher, been off his medication again? lol.

According to his player bio, Kuhn worked for two years as a lab technician for the Pennsylvania EPA. Not bad. Says a lot about his scholastic achievmement. I wonder where a player like Joey Porter worked before making it to the National Felons League? Selling crack on a corner somewhere, probably.

I think Kuhn is being used as a hybrid. Similar to Heath Evans was last season. Let's see if he can make the roster next season though........

it would take Parker being out for one reason or another... who knows maybe Kuhn still has a chance? they did give him 1 carry... he also has a distinction of being the only white RUNNINGBACK in the league this season...

I'm surprised no one is talking about last night's game.

Vick played well (for him) but took himself out of the game with just over 2:00 minutes left and down ten points. He had a 'groin injury' but he was walking around on the sideline without a limp. The announcers were ripping him pretty bad. One of them made a comparison between Vick and Warner, and said that no matter how many points they were down Warner ALWAYS wanted to be in the game, that he would play through injuries and would never give up no matter how far behind they might be.

Schaub came in and threw a couple of completions but his last pass was a long bomb that was intercepted after his receiver collied with a Dallas defender. I noticed that when one of Schaub's passes sailed high the announcers were prompt to mention that Schaub 'overthrew' the receiver. But I can't count how many passes I saw Vick throw way over the leaping, outstretched hands of his receivers with little comment other than 'incomplete.'

I also noticed what seemed to be a lot of cheap shots by the Falcon's defenders, especially against Witten. They were bending him over backwards at the waist after the play was whistled dead, throwing elbows at his head when he was in the grasp, twisting his ankles during tackles, things like that. I kept waiting for a penalty, but none ever came. But the Falcons did pick up a few unsportsmanlike penalties toward the end of the game, so maybe the refs picked up on it later.

It was a fun game to watch. There were a lot of bonehead plays and a lot of big plays. Sweetest of all had to be DeMarcus Ware jump in front of a Mike Vick pass and run it back for a TD. Vick looked like a child trying to make a tackle on Ware.

Watson and Maroney are out for Texans game, let's hope that Heath Evans and David Thomas will get some looks!

David Anderson and Kevin Walter are so far the only Texans receivers to have caught a pass!

Shockey just have only 2 catches over 20yards this season. I don't know why and his long went for only 25..
That's really a shame for a talented player like him. He should be have season of 1000yards each season..

I don't know, but I'm ready to ask Bigunreal to check into the Titans recent victories. The most implausible scenarios have developed the last several weeks. The Titans beat the Jaguars today. How? Young was 8-15 and threw for 85 yds. He ranthe ball 4 times for another 4 yds, totalling89 yds. without anINT or TD. On top of that Bennet didn't playand the Jaguars self destructed. Jags QB threw 3 picks and the Titans defense returned turnovers of83, 92 and 61 yds for touchdowns! A franchise record 3 defensive TD's and 370 yds of returns. Come on! I guess stranger things have happened, but gimme a break.

The Detroit Lions were pathetic as usual. Their running game was non-existant like it has been all year. This time they did not have Kevin Jones who is lost for a year with a foot injury. The back ups were two guys that had already been released and resigned this year. So the Lions are using a couple of scrubs as their primary runners. This is what happens when 60-70% of the population is excluded from running the ball. I really think that the NFL has a serious shortage of quality running backs because they only have black runners to choose from and there just are not enough good ones to fully stock 30 teams. I also wonder why Corey Schleslinger who has played fullback for the team for many years doesn't even get consideration. The guys they had ran for 18 and 6 yards total. Why not try the FB? Very frustrating.

It's the same reason why US heavyweight boxing is paper thin depth wise. When only 12 percent of your population is doing a sport the depth won't be there.
