I love rooney, but what about lampard, hes shown some great form and yet again chelseas best player.

Rooney had a great year. I predicted he would have a great year after Ronaldo left. He is one of the top 2 or 3 players in the world. It's too bad Drogba passed him for the scoring lead, but Rooney was injured the last few weeks. I hope he is 100% for the World Cup. MU would have probably won the Champions League if they didn't play that Brazilian at left back against Bayern.

Lampard had another great year. He is definitely world class. It seems like many English are prejudiced against their own players because they always play down the quality of their own. Torres said England has the 2n best side after Spain. Lampard should have won the player of the year over Giggs last year.

i was more gutted for michael owen,. far more superior player to beckham, scored against the best teams and defences in the world at every cub and country, shame his body is falling apart.

Very nice video. Gets me pumped up for the World Cup. We have so many teams to root for. I hope Rooney can tear it up. It would be great for England if they could win it all. Then they have the Olympics coming in two years.

England has never been my favorite (often preferred Italy or Germany). But, I'll try rooting England to win for a change, because 44 years of drought is depressing enough.

My reason for not rooting for England has been David Beckham (he seemed always arrogant to me), but I've grown to respect him somewhat, considering the alarming football demographics in England and Europe in general. As long as an All-White or majority team win the World Cup, it'll make 2010 a more memorable year for white athletes.
