Race is never black and white;NPI. Every
person has an unique genetic make up. Racial classification is
just a way to categorize someone's roots and put them into general
groups. It is also much deeper than genetic code and
cultural. Racially, Chrebet is probably white, with no latino
blood. Culturally, he is portrayed as white by the media. I
guess he is white.
Chrebet is one of those guys that wins game after
game despite always being considered a last resort guy. He is
stereotyped as a #3 receiver or an emergency man, but is a go-to
guy. He has good speed and is tough as nails. Being a
Patriots fan, I find him irritating.
Chrebet has always been able to take
advantage of defenses(particularly linebackers) weaknesses with great
moves. He does not rely on downfield speed, but rather agility
and ball skills. His use of ball skills, moves, and general
technique make him very consistent.
Chrebet is the type of player that the Caste System
has really been able to screw. By promoting needless big passing,
flagrant poor-sportsmanship, and glamor over substance, players like
Chrebet are regarded as old fashioned. They make things up about
him like "he hasn't adapted to the speed of the new NFL players".
