Robinson enters rehab
<Aug. 6> Robinson's off-field troubles continue to hurt his chances of remaining in the NFL. He checked himself into a South Carolina rehab facility Monday, the Washington Times reports.
After Robinson was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving in May, the Seahawks cut him. Despite his obvious skills, no team has signed Robinson. [Emphasis added]
According to ESPN.com's John Clayton, the 49ers would have signed Robinson once the Seahawks released him but they were concerned about the public reaction. Instead, they opted to sign Johnnie Morton.
Chiefs GM Carl Peterson told the Kansas City Star the team discussed whether to bring Robinson in for a visit, but Kansas City wound up acquiring Freddie Mitchell.
