Vladyslav Sirenko

Good to know he will be on Joshua vs Dubois card. Will keep an eye on that one!

He looked mediocre until the spectacular knockout. Both he and Wallin leaned on each other and seemed to be in sparring partner mode but Wallin seemed to be fading a bit and then bingo bango and the fight was over with two hooks one from the left hand and a finishing hook from the right hand which had Wallin out for a 1000 count.

PS this should be a wrap for Wallin as he is 36 and now has lost two in a row and was badly ko'd here. He will forever kick himself about not getting the tko stoppage against Fury who had an eyebrow hanging off his face and he beat the current WBA champion in a easy manner but boxing politics blocked a title shot for him so he took the Joshua fight and after that brutal beatdown it's been downhill career wise for him.

Like many East European boxers, Sirenko declined due to inactivity. He didn't fight at all in 2022 and 2023, and in 2024, he fought 3 very soft opponents. He didn't seem as sharp when he fought Dacres over a year ago. Another full year of inactivity couldn't have helped either.

But it's good he got a decent win tonight with the highlight-reel KO, hopefully Zuffa will let him fight again before the end of this year.

I've been quite disappointed with Sirenko's career after spotting him a few years ago. You never know what's going in in their private lives or what is happening in their management situation. I had written him off and now here he is back in the mix. Kind of.

For me the glass is still half empty.

I tend to agree with Hock as I can't shake the Dacres lost. Dacres is just a club fighter with little power and he just shot a jab in the face of Sirenko and seemed to befuddle him.

I saw Dacres get destroyed by the British level Adeleye in a similar manner to what Sirenko did to Wallin yet Sirenko never did anything to Dacres in the fight.

I know boxing isn't if A beats B than A beats C because because B beat C but you would think Sirenko would at a minimum would have rocked Dacres at some point in the fight.
