This made me kind of happy, so I'll post it in the Happy Hour. Did you know the nation's number one ranked high school basketball team is Lone Peak High from....(drum roll please) the state of UTAH? Only one loss on the year, and a number of victories over power house programs in interstate tourneys. Must have imported some affletic talent, right? You be the judge. Here they are opening up a can of whoop-ass on a team from Tennesee.

These guys were awarded the MaxPreps National Championship. I don't think people realize how big this is. The team was all white, they played above the rim and unlike most of the national powerhouse private schools who recruit talent from around the country, these guys are from a smaller public school in Utah. They dominated nationally ranked all or mostly black high school powerhouse teams.

Yeah, last I'd heard they were on their way to the national championship. I wish I'd still been living in Salt Lake. Would have been nice to catch them live.

I remember the rivalry games their football team had with Pleasant Grove. Glad to hear their basketball team is doing so well!

A High School team from Utah winning the national championship in basketball. That's got to be a real underdog story.

I'm sure someone in Hollywood is going to make an inspiring movie about them.
