J.J. Redick of Duke hit a record-tying six three-pointers and scored 22 points to lead the U.S. to a 113-78 victory over Nigeria on Tuesday in the preliminary round of the under-21 men's World Championships in Argentina. Redick tied a U.S. record in the tournament and finished 6 for 8 on three pointers. Nick Fazekas of Nevada had 10 points and 14 rebounds. Those are the only two white boys on the U.S. roster.

Yeah, but J.J. sucked against the good teams.

You mean that an African team doesn't play basketball very well? How could that be?!

J.J. -- 0 three-pointers in loss to Canada. The longer you play
for Coach K, the worse you get!

hey GLS, don't be hating the Dukie...he played well enough to be named to the all-tourney team. not bad for a guy who can "just" shoot.

I don't see the all-tournament team on the USA Basketball site.

I don't know who says all JJ can do is shoot, not I, nor Mike
DeCourcey's recent article in the Sporting News, nor the
readers who responded to that article.

I do think JJ is a politicallly correct coward of the highest order
for short-changing himself by saying he doesn't think he'll be a
star in the NBA -- imagine a black player that accomplished
thinking so small? -- and saying that the ire directed at him by
fans has nothing to do with being white ... then saying that Greg
Paulus will also be hated by fans. Funny, isn't Paulus white
too?Edited by: GreatLakeState

Lithunania won the Under 21 World Championship with a 65-63 win over Greece the top 4 were Lithunania, Greece, Canada and Austraila. Maybe the USA who took 5th should have had more then two"white boys" on there roster! There was an African team Nigeria who took last. So once again the White men from Lithunania prove White Men can jump and shoot and WIN!!!!!
