Poirier vs Gaethje rd1 was fought at a furious pace.

Poirier with a 4th rd TKO! The Cajun dug deep and showed grit after eating some nasty leg kicks earlier in the fight. He landed 186 strikes!

What a FIGHT!! Lived up to the hype! Give Poirier a lot of credit overcoming the accidental eye pokes. He was having trouble walking out the octagon after all of those nasty leg kicks. Gaethje got poked at the very end of the 3rd...didn't seem the same starting the 4th....Hope to see a Re-match...but the Cajun wants Khabib next!
