For you guys who don't like either Chuck or Lesnar, if you were watching a prison yard fight between members of the Aryan Nation - murderers, drug dealers, etc. - and members of the Black Gorilla Family, would you root for the Nation to lose or the Family? After all, those guys are all punks and losers anyway, right?

Those are entirely different and impractical circumstances, Shogun. Prison is a completely different enviroment with a totally alternate set of rules. You're splitting hairs again with this argument.

Men in prison fight for survival and establishment of racial superiority (and not for a UFC paycheck), so of course I would root for them (The Aryans). They have no choice in the matter. Either they fight or they die or (even worse) they become someone's blow-up doll. Its a matter of survival, nothing more.

In addition to this, I share similar political ideology as the Aryan Nation and other White gangs do. So, whether they're criminals or not, there is still a connection there by way of a shared racial pride and racial consciousness. Liddell, on the other hand, is everything that I mentioned in the above post. He may be White, but in skin tone only. He is a drug-using, leftist jackass in my eyes. Thats why I wasn't exactly disappointed when he lost.

I feel I have nothing in common with the Nation, other than white skin and some racial awareness. I have one of those two in common with Lesnar and Liddell. However, I chose the Aryans and a prison yard conflict as a comparison because whether they win or lose to a black (or Latino) has an effect on the way white people are viewed, with prison a small but intense microcosm of the outside world.

I root for whites at all levels of every sport, regardless of their personal beliefs or views about white people in general. When someone like Chuck Liddell or Brock Lesnar defeats a person of color, that old stereotype that white men cannot fight, or that we are inferior athletes, is shown false. Likewise in other sports.

I root for the local white boy, as your signature says, even if he is a dickhead crook or criminal.

I view sports as a separate realm from everything else. So even though I may have relaxed a little bit about other things (like politics,) I still find myself rooting for white athletes.

I can agree with that part, so I guess if Liddell were to ever fight again, there is a possibility I might take his side. But Liddell is an avid cocaine user. And consumption of drugs is a sign of mental and/or racial weakness in my eyes. Not only that, but the majority of coke smuggled into this country is done by way of MINORITY drug kingpins. Snorting coke is like putting your hard-earned money directly into a non-White's pocket. It's like saying, "Hey Pablo, here, take my donation, really, I insist."

I just can't harvest any respect for someone who knowingly does that. Needless to say, my feelings towards Liddell are still up in the air.Edited by: Ground Fighter

Did anyone watch UFC fight night tonight? It's also the new season premier of TUF.


In the opening fight, a white fighter (forgot his name) destroyed Houston Alexander.

After absorbing a few punches and kicks, he finally took the fight to the ground. Following abarrage of blows to the head, he finally submitted Alexandar about 4:50 into the first round.

Despite 2-3 illegal knees/punches to Schafer when he had at least 1 knee on the mat, caste "god" (in the making) Alexander was bested by the BJJ black belt.Note the no-call of the illegal strikes Golderg & Rogaine's not calling it out either, plus the UFC website calling Schafer's victory "stunning" upset....a 12-3-2 fighter beating a 8-4 fighter is stunning huh? It was good to see (yet) another caste push de-railed!

TUF Nog vs. Mir was pretty good as well. It was nice to see the talented Junie Browning whooping Latino thug/self-proclaimed "straight up criminal" Jose Aguillar...who quit in the corner after a 1st round beat-down from the White fighter Browning!

I watched it and I totally enjoyed seeing Jose Aguillar get his beatdown. What a ass-clown. He gets his pre-fight interview and he acts all hard core and starts talking about how he should have lived in the days of Hitler, Napolean and Alexander and how he would have been pillaging and that he was a straight up criminal. Anybody that starts talking that extreme about himself usually brings nothing to the table when the real fighting begins. He brought nothing, he quit on his stool to protect his "pretty face" and I hope I never see him again. "Fainting Phillipi"(spelling) was pretty funny as well, but he can fight.

It was good see Schafer beat Alexander. I saw the illegal knees that werent called, but in a way that made the victory even sweeter. Did you guys notice when Schafer got up from submitting Alexander how he mocked Houston's pre-fight taunts.

I doubt he was mocking Alexander because he had many classy things to say about him after the fight. I think he was mocking the Omaha,Nebraska hometown crowd that was wildly rooting for Alexander and booing Schafer.

Well before the fight Houston did the real strict salute. After he was tapped out, Schafer got up and threw a real sloppy salute.

I personally feel Schafer was brought in to lose. Decent record, red hair (you think Rogan was going to pass on red-headed stepchild jokes if Houston won?), much tinner and less muscular looking than Houston. But he didn't follow the script.

Good point about the salute, I forgot about that. He may not have followed the script but you and I have seen this act before. One dimensional hell bent for leather striker gets taken down and submitted by calm and logical BJJ guy. I wasn't suprised at all by the outcome.

Aren't all 3 losses against white fighters? Or is it 2 out of 3? I know the loss prior to last night was against the Sandman, which was the quickest KO in UFC history (8s) if I'm not mistaken.


Since he obviously can't beat white fighters, they should try to save face, and bring a couple of scrub black fighters and see if he can win one of those.

It was actually a pretty good fight card:
Eric v Houston (Eric by sub Rnd. 1)
Ed Herman v Alan Belcher (Belcher by D)

This fight night showcased three very good white up-in-comers for UFC. Dan Miller 27 6'1 185 is 8-1 he has been in the IFL along with his younger brother who is also with UFC. Mike Massenzio 27 is probably one of the best prospects at 185 he is so well round. Great Muay Thai and he is a blue belt in BJJ. He could be the next Anderson Silva. Alan Belcher 24 is inconsistant but if he can keep it a stand up competition he is tough to beat. He is only 24 and is working with Rich Clementi to improve his ground game. He will be tough to beat in a few years. Also MMA veteran Jason Brilz who I have heard great things about finally got to show he can be a contender if given the chance.

WS, the Neer-Diaz fight was very close. Pre-fight, Neer said he'd test Diaz' chin, but proceeded to take him down. Neer had the strength advantage & great ground game. He had Diaz in a few submission attempts, but Nate's very slick & kept using a step around move to escape. I don't like the Diaz brothers street-punk attitudes or their trash talk, but both a good fighters. Diaz is become a top LW contender, but I don't know if he can hang with Guida, Sherk, Fisher or Penn. Neer looked tough, better ground game than I had expected.
