Card includes:

Silva V. Marquardt
Sherk V. Franca
Ortiz V. Evans
Herring V. Nog
Florian V. Robinson

Looks to be a great card from where I'm standing.

Marquardt is experienced and has a professional demeanor. He will come prepared.

Franca's jiu-jitsu worries me. A little. But he hasn't faced anyone the caliber of Sherk.

Evans should be tested. One of the few times I will be rooting for Ortiz.

Herring/ Nog...why? Oh wait, I know why.

It'll be nice to see Kenflo back in action.

I'll be pulling fo Marquardt, Sherk, Ortiz, Herring & Florian. I think Nog might take Herring out quickly (via sub), but would love to see a big knockout from the Texas Crazyhorse.

Franca has an unorthodox fighting style. He's heavy-handed and has a brawling style and a good submission game. I think Sherk's wrestling/shooting and power will give him the edge. BTW, Sherk trains at Minnesota Mixed Martial Arts with Bodog champ Nick "The Goat" Thompson & former WWE Champ Brock Lesnar.

Sorry, didn't see the previous post about UFC 73.

DD, I think your spot on with your picks. I'm going with: (1) Marquart over Sylva by ground and pound stoppage
(2) Sherk over Franca by GnP decision ( Sherk will hurt him with those nasty elbows but Franca will finish the bout)
(3) Nogueira over Herring by sub
(4) Ortiz over Evans ( ref stoppage due to Elbow avalanche by Ortiz to Rashads melon )
(5) Florian over Robinson ( never seen Robinson but Florian has looked good each time out as a light weight

This should prove to be a great night of fights!Edited by: dkr77

We ought to get a moderator to consolidate these threads if possible. This is going to be real confusing tonight!

sent a PM to Don, he hasn't read it yet, and jaxvid's mailbox is over the limit, lol. So...
