This is probably do or die for McGregor, he will have all the money in the world but he probably won't be taken seriously as a fighter nor have Dana's favor if he does not win this.

Loaded card tonight, let's hope interest picks up in this thread throughout the day! McGregor is claiming Poirier will be remembered as a Buster Douglas! Fluke win he claims last time.

I'm glad the McGregor camp chose a white man to end his career. The racial prostitution stunt he pulled against Mayweather cemented his legacy as a circus sideshow, at least in my opinion. I'm sure if his piles of money ever run low, McGregor could always just challenge some black sprinters to a race. He'll have no problem disappointing a stadium full of delusional and drunk Irish fans. On the other hand, I would greatly enjoy a catch weight match against Brock Lesnar if McGregor is open to ideas. More likely though that he ends up boxing Jake Paul or some other Youtuber.

Very gratifying to see Hardy KTFO!

Yes! Haha he walked right into that hook. You could just tell what Hardy was thinking - he had no caution or respect for his opponent and figured he could just plow through and be king of the jungle. One quick sidestep and suddenly he's asleep on his feet and toppling over.

I've been waiting for that since he's started this whole MMA charade! The fact he's made it this far shows how weak Heavyweight is.. Good showing by Tuivasa er shooeyvasa .

Wonderboy at 38 is the second highest-ranked white at 170, Brady, Soldic and others need to make themselves known.

Funny KO against Hardy by Tuivasa, Good preformances by Plessis and Sean.

Wonderboy was building up towards another Title Shot. But at 38 and after that loss it may be time to wind his career down and choose his next couple fights wisely..

Agreed we need some young blood at Welterweight !

Sean was a Sniper today and Moutinho can take a punch or 200.

Conor gets his ankle or tibia broken from a bad step...

After having a good Poirier-esque guillotine in and getting pounded on the ground after losing it.

Very unfortunate end to this fight to say the least I would have hoped for any other outcome regardless of who won,
but Conor is probably going to push for a quadrilogy (boxing-like) due to the doctor stoppage built-in excuse,
whether or not he still has the UFC's favor is to be seen.

Thats a nasty injury.. Unfortunate, was hoping for a better end to the Trilogy. McGregor may want another fight, but there's no way he'll be ready in time. Poirier Vs Oliviera for the belt!

Dustin should fight Oliveira, yes, if the UFC is really going to make a fourth fight it should be after that.

No sympathy for the rich little leprechaun. Absolutely no class, shouting from the ground with his leg in a splint about his opponent's wife. I wish he hadn't broken his leg so he could have eaten 20 more minutes of elbows.

Poirier gets a very deserved shot at the belt now.

Here’s a rare in-fight angle from Poirier’s POV.
