O'Malley is talented but looks like a clown. Another lower body injury isn't good for him.

JDS is a shadow of his former self. He needs to retire as well.

Whites must have won all the really big classic ebony/ivory caste matchups of the past year (Stipe/DC 2 and 3 as well as Wilder/Fury) in combat sports.

Maybe Covington is the exception if that fight ranks as highly but it was quite close IIRC..

Yes I saw the fight on a craptastic pirate feed and he did control the fight and was the obvious winner, Coleman gave the bs hand gesture when the score totals were announced but beyond an extra round he didn't have a case for winning the fight IMO.

I found the fight was rather dull but it seemed like neither fighter wanted to take a chance of exposing their chins and getting ko'd violently so it was a tactical fight which made the rubber bount the equivalent of the Godfather III, not the Thrilla in Manilla.

Yes I saw the fight on a craptastic pirate feed and he did control the fight and was the obvious winner, Coleman gave the bs hand gesture when the score totals were announced but beyond an extra round he didn't have a case for winning the fight IMO.

I found the fight was rather dull but it seemed like neither fighter wanted to take a chance of exposing their chins and getting ko'd violently so it was a tactical fight which made the rubber bount the equivalent of the Godfather III, not the Thrilla in Manilla.

A lot of people blamed the slowness on Stipe's wear and tear/aging but I thought this was the reason, Stipe didn't want to get clipped needlessly. Stipe came in looking in better shape than ever which makes me think he still has some left... They were promoting DC heavily during this fight, the media and UFC where hyping DC much more than Stipe from what I saw, other than caste reasons DC seems to be a company man and Dana likes him.

Ngannou's power is always dangerous but he has little ground game so Stipe should not trade on feet if he fights Francis again, Jones again teased a move to heavyweight which I'm not sure about the validity of since it could be attention seeking and it's not the first time he has said this and balked but Dana wants Jones to fight Ngannou first if he does this which he isn't very keen on as well as wanting Ngannou to fight Stipe first so its looking like an Ngannou fight next if Stipe stays around. It's relatively uncontroversial among fans that the Jones/Reyes fight was a robbery and I remember White speaking a day or two ago about a new LHW title fight this year so look out for that, it will probably be a Reyes rematch but Jan might fight.

Stipe is the only white American champ? We all know why he has to narrow it down like that; honkey is still honkey no matter the national origin. Though, it would be nice to have some more white American champions, I could see a few winning belts later.

Not too many white Americans on the horizon. I’ll call my shot now though and predict Bo Nickal will be the future “ he’s funky” which should transfer over to the UFC as long as he doesn't have a glass jaw. Probably a light heavyweight but could bulk into heavyweight in time as he is tall and could outwrestle almost all the HW’s even undersized. Would already be fighting but the Olympics got pushed back.
