The super-team era is definitely a strange one. Every team not in the NBA finals is willing to blow up its core to make a pitch for a handful of all-stars. Plenty of all-stars who can't win a championship feel comfortable demanding a trade (and are invariably accommodated). The latest is apparently Damian Lillard in Portland, who considers it a grave insult that he was not allowed to handpick a new coach.
The Heat have to figure out how to pay Duncan Robinson starter's money next year (or trade him for something worthwhile). Goran Dragic signed a 1 year contract last offseason and likely won't be brought back at age 35. The Heat could easily empty their roster of all white players... or Robinson and Herro could be the first two American-born white players starting in the same backcourt since.... I dunno, Stockton and Hornacek?
